Please let this be the case. Our only known commodity for the weekend rotation is Hurd this year.

Canes doesn’t sell franchises. All locations are owned and operated by Canes

Canes does not have the money to keep Crews here. Franchise, he would have to give him about 20 franchises. 1 he loses leverage to negotiate as a senior. 2 he is the first pick in the draft.

The guy saying Crews will be back is an idiot, but most of this is wrong too. I won’t get into the Canes finances because they are a private company and nobody actually knows what they make, but if Crews returned he would still get full slot money. Mark Apel fell to 6th in the draft due to sign-ability concerns then went #1 his senior year with the biggest signing bonus ever at that time. If you are good enough, leverage doesn’t matter.

There is no smoke. Crews is going to the MLB.

If you truly think there is smoke, drop your email I have a few things I’d like to sell to you

As cool as that would be - he would need $9-10M. I’d rather Graves put $9M into a pot for 10-12 other guys between football and baseball.

Feel like we should know if it’s a transfer today. I can’t remember it being more than 24 hours or so after a coach tweeting that news doesn’t break on it.

Depends on who it is. If it is Holman then it might not be until end of next week after USA baseball is finished. They are playing a 5 game series against Japan that ends on Wednesday and that is the end of team USA summer ball.

Boy someone found them the most naive person they can feed misinformation to. I hope you don't believe everything you see in media either.

Crews MLB clock is ticking
He already spent three years in college
He needs to start that MLB progression so he can be in line for the big payday once his service time allows it
He's not getting any younger and playing another year in college does nothing for his development, he needs to see better pitching going forward
He's likely on the Bregman track to the majors, he won't be in the minors very long

Boras is not doing Crews any favor if he falls in draft like Kumar Rocker did

If this were the case, I’d feel like he’d tweet out more than just a single Tiger emoji lol

I think I remember JJ not saying anything last year about portal guys until he was finished bringing in the guys he wanted and then having a press conference to talk about each one that transferred

You probably won't see much movement until after the MLB draft. Then you will know who is back, who is coming, and who is still out there.
