or does it just feel that way because of the beat down we just took at a home night game to a non Saban coached Alabama

If so Early signing day couldn’t come faster I’m tired of seeing something to do with Michigan pushing for Underwood every day on Social Media.

It relies on us getting better players than what we currently have

I keep getting told LSU can’t compete in the NIL era where do we actually stack up NIL wise.

Every program’s future relies on elite 17 year olds signing with their school.

QB is one of the few positions where it can make an immediate difference.

I read an analysis which reported that until this year, LSU has spent on average 20% below SEC average. However, there were legit reasons and that was changing with the merging of the NIL Collective with the other organization.

LSU has always relied on 17 year olds signing..........it's called recruiting high school players.

Its hard not to push back a bit against your post. Its a well worn topic here and elsewhere that is loaded emotionally, generationally, and even politically. It really brings out the loony in folks. Hopefully you're not trolling or phishing and you get a good answer, if you're being genuine.

LSU spends. That much is clear from circumstantial evidence. The general strategy seems to be to spend smartly since LSU's alumni/donor base is probably not quite as deep pocketed as schools like Texas which can support a more freewheeling acquisition budget.

The program seems to be doing fairly well at that strat if you look at the current committed class, though thats not the only metric.

I think it’s obvious that Kelly is putting all of his eggs in one basket with Underwood. He’ll be Kelly’s last real shot at winning a CFP title. If he decommits, then it’s over for Kelly.

I'm not sure how we can make this claim until A.I. allows us to see the future.

Just like this past election, this isn't going to be the final recruiting class EVER.

I think we stack up just fine. I don’t think we are in the same tier yet as Georgia, Texas, Oregon, Bama, Ohio State. But we are at the top of the second tier. We are consistently a top 5-6 revenue program and I think this will keep the program going. What we lack in terms of mega donors we make up in terms of LSU’s brand. If you come to LSU and win you will have the entire state of Louisiana behind you for the rest of your life. I don’t think this can be said about many programs. Plus megadonors will eventually get tired of throwing around money.

No, because the transfer portal is probably a safer way to add a QB, either way

Les Miles and Ed Orgeron would disagree. Les is our all time best coach, won a title and kept us as consistently good as we've ever been. Orgeron had covid and then the disaster of 2021. He lost favor immediately following the Miss St beatdown. After leading the greatest team ever. Both have been shite on endlessly since their fall from grace.
As for the support, it's always there. I will say Les and Orgeron had drastically different personalities than Kelly. Both able to sell the money on things. Kelly seems more the type to rub the money the wrong way when questions get asked.. As with Les and Ed, the money will get tired of the bullshite and pony up to buy Kelly out if he doesn't right the ship. It's not holding water yet but it isn't the luxury liner many expected it to be.

Only two of these schools have won it all since we have. We are not below these teams at all.

Fans need to take a little deeper look at what is actually happening
