Does anyone have any inside info on if Bech would prefer LSU or Vandy?

Look I know football-wise it’s a no brainer but there could be other factors at play with a kid like Bech. He seems like an all around good smart kid who would use the Vandy education to its fullest. He also is smart enough to know he would be a starting WR for them in short order but on the other hand LSU is LSU. I love Brian Thomas’ talent but I almost would rather have a gritty guy like Bech take that spot since we have other alpha receivers but not a meat and potatoes blue collar guy like Bech.

Yeah Bech is a blue collar guy, a real gym rat, very cerebral, heady player. Bring your lunch box to work everyday type of player. Other white wide receiver stereotype reference

Bruh, you just soon come out and say it. You want a white wide receiver.

You are REALLY selling Bech's athletic abilities short here. Hell, he can be an All SEC WR/Slot, Safety, or TE. Whichever position the coaches deem he fits best. In this modern offense that LSU runs now, Bech could be a star.

He’s gritty but he’s also an elite athlete.

He may not have burner speed but he has an excellent vertical and top-notch strength.

Something that stands out to me about Bech is his elite body control and his ability to position himself to make the catch. And his strength of course. The way he uses his body control identical to the way Jamar Chase does and that’s just something you can’t teach

I could text his Uncle but I’m not going to press him for this info nor would I share it if I did.

He was offered as a WR, not a Safety like LSU had discussed with him previously.

Bech is bigger and stronger than any of the aforementioned comps on here.

Bech said himself on ESPN radio in BR today that he wasn't in a hurry to commit, but he mentioned that he and Walker have dreamed of playing together at the next level.

I’ve been saying this since last season. He has talent that is hard to put on paper. He just has a knack for timing his jumps, going up and catching the ball at his highest point. He has great hands and is an excellent blocker as well.

I think he is actually a good change of pace to other other receivers on the board. There’s gonna be a lot of mismatches when we roll out any combo of boutte, smith, Gilbert, jojo, Hilton, and bech. I’d take bech against most safeties and any lb.

This is probably one of the most ridiculous statements I've read on this board.

If we were leading for Thomas Jr people wouldn't be making statements such as this. But since we're about to lose the #1 WR in the state to a divisional foe, people attempt to reconcile that loss by saying they didn't really want him anyway.

It's psychology at work.

I think most people want him but realize we do not “need” him. He definitely has more upside but I do not think the offense, as a whole, will be struggling without him.
