Then why haven’t they been doing it? Good football players don’t mysteriously show up at smu. This isn’t the Pony Express days.
I’ll believe it when I see it. Otherwise, there’s zero trend or evidence to believe this. Smu has literally gotten the worst high school talent among P5/G5 schools in Texas. Houston gets better talent. And now I’m supposed to believe they’re outbidding the defending national champs? Doubt it
I'm sorry if I gave the impression that I think that SMU can just buy top football recruits in a vacuum. I tried to convey that they can't do that, because top prospects want a chance to compete for championships. I was merely pointing out that they can pay with almost anyone. See Larry Brown's SMU basketball recruiting from a few years ago, a sport where the conference doesn't matter as much, and so they're on a more level playing field.
SMU is a real threat for both Byrd and Wheaton. I'm not sure if Byrd is a money thing, maybe he is maybe he isn't, but I know that Samples (son of the legendary Dallas head coach, who happens to be Byrd's coach) is a huge factor here; when Samples was at Texas, Byrd was a Texas lock. Then Samples leaves for SMU, and Byrd is at SMU every weekend for about a three month period, and SMU has a real shot.

Personally I think we end up with 2 tackles. 3 would be with Byrd and he just seems to get farther away every day and with possibility of there being no visits, well that just makes it harder.

They have a well known guy that is an up and comer in recruiting. Think about Austin Thomas. Realize I say that talking about relationships.

Appreciate it. I’ll believe your opinion on it over gossiping high school coaches. Appreciate the response

Our boards have more idiots then this one which is truly special.

Eh don't mind him. You brought up smoke that I'm sure we've all seen but don't wanna recognize as a possibility. But now you have me wondering how bad the aggie boards really are.

You might as well take the A&M from your favorite team. You’re not an Aggie and you clearly have intel from A&M paid boards. Don’t take this as negative.

Hasn’t been an actual A&M or SEC football or recruiting topic in almost a month. Politics has taken over the football board and when they do discuss football it’s about UT or OU. It’s really damn pathetic, if I wasn’t 5th gen I’d seriously be considering changing who I root for.

I haven’t paid for info since the Murray year, I have friends that coach and I work with/follow kids on social media. Reason why I was on here saying y’all led for Byrd along time before anyone else said it. I’m not some big time insider but kids talk at practice.

That doesn't sound fun. Figured there would have atleast been a convo about A&M being in Blackshires top 3. And I'm just saying, the Tiger family is open.

Delete your first sentence please

Was deleting as you said it. Ha, more I thought about it realized it was dumb to put any personal info out in today’s day and age. Good looking out
Edit: tiger322 I grew up on the border and always liked and respected LSU that said my family might right me out of will never if I ever wore a color then maroon in the fall. That said it didn’t hurt me at all to watch y’all win the natty and see your offense light the world on fire.

Those who talk can read between the lines for sure . Information is awesome and very appreciated. Don’t need to say anything else just conversation is perfectly fine. I wish you would post more.

Just my opinion, but don't need 3. Getting Will Campbell from Neville the following year.

Partially agree with you Vol on only 2. But you also know that taking these highly talented guys can and will be moved to inside guard spots. Happens frequently, and O said today would like 4 linemen this cycle. Just my 2 cents

Hey Vol you think LSU has a shot at OG Rocco the teammate of OT Dellinger?
Posted on 7/7/20 at 9:45 pm to LesnarF5
We did at one time, but last I really heard on him it was a Michigan-Notre Dame battle. I THINK it'll probably be Notre Dame
Posted on 7/7/20 at 9:46 pm to IotaTiger
I mean, I Agree you always take as many as you can get, but I was jusy meaning it's not a bad situation if we don't get him. He's a luxury and not a need at this point.
