I watched this kid play 2X Last season in person and followed pretty well rest of the year.

He’s not a CB.

He’s not a QB.

he does have good athletic skills, but hey guess is he looked at the depth at DB for LSU and knew he wouldn’t see the field.

He’s years behind in refinement that our incoming recruits have.

Also, he seems to be a “gun for hire” and my guess is Colorado promised more than LSU (pure speculation) but the LCA program in Lafayette May be one of the cheapest programs in the state as they are trying to be a college program in terms of recruiting.

He’s got great measurables but he’s a street ball type who player who I’m not sure if he can I’ll translate to college much less the pros.

Just thoughts.

He camped at LSU last summer as a DB and all reports said he held his own with all the top DBs that were there. So I’m not discounting what you witnessed but all the experts strong disagree with your assessment.

Typical recruiting tactics. Lose a guy then suddenly he's overrated and not really good enough to play here. The state has 4 current 4* kids next year and this was one. Next complaint will be we go oos too much(another common one around here). Really a lose/lose no matter who we land or miss for many of you guys. Lose an instate kid, he isn't good enough. Lose an oos kid, we should've concentrated on the instate kid. Insanity

With the portal and how well LSU does there and the more national less local reach we have, I am not worried about any player we miss on that isn't on OL or DL.

its going to be ok that occasionally some of the guys in state are going other places.

At least he isnt going to a division rival, or drug us out until NSD and made us miss the chance to recruit other guys..

just sayin

Every day on the OT there are threads about people wanting to leave Louisiana. Maybe the kid just wants to get out of state

Interesting take AFTER he committed to Colorado.

This could have been said maybe last week but you didn’t want to say it then.

interesting.

As far as small DB athlete type recruits in Louisiana for 2024 theres also Wallace Foster and Wardell Mack who are rated about the same as to Juajan Johnson. I think they're rated like four five and six in the state. I don't see it as some big loss.

Good athlete
He’d have to grow into the position and is not an instant impact player
Would be happy to have him stay in the boot and he may still reconsider. However, this isn’t like losing Cam Robinson or Devonta Smith to Bama. LSU will find another player with a similar skill set.

Prime wants any high recruit he can entice, but they can’t run or catch if he doesn’t have Big Corn fed Nastys blocking for them.
