I don't know his situation but if he is being threatened here is going to Auburn supposed to be like going into hiding in a foreign country? If it was that big of a deal, they couldn't find him there?

Kind of what I was wondering myself. I would accept a scholarship at USCw or something.

This sucks. He would be the best WR in this class by far. Who cares if he only plays one year? He'll be a star wherever he goes.

Right. I mean, we don't know the details of what's going on with this kid, but if these thugs are serious about this, a drive to Auburn won't be that much of an obstacle.

Why do all our top targets choose schools in the same conference and the same division? It seems like they want to "expand their horizons" but then choose a school in the same region of the country. I understand that Quille's situation is different, but holy crap, pick a team in a different conference or at least go to the east and play for a team like UTenn.

/rant

Anyhow good luck to the man... except when he plays LSU.

There are a lot of factors that come into play as to how well a player will turn out in CFB. But everything I've heard/read is that he's the real deal. There's a reason most think he's a one-n-done player.

Man, there's so much fail in this thread.

LSU wanted him and needed him. So what? The man made a mature decision for himself and his family. LSU was never an option for any reasonable person after what happened.

He did LSU a huge favor in itself by NOT going to Bama to chase a NC and play with a real QB. So thank you and good luck D'haquille.

Yeah I would rather 3-4 years of Travin Dural than 1 year of Cordarelle Patterson too... Give me a break.

I would. Look at what Amari Cooper did for example. Dural could turn into that or any of the other studs we are hoping to wrangle. Freshman WRs are coming in an producing too just ask Stephon Diggs or the guy from Rutgers. Sammy Watkins, Julio, Green, etc.

If a kid wants to win games and have a shot at a national championship......why choose Auburn over LSU?

Great pickup for Auburn. I will be pulling for him in all but one game. Hope he can escape the criminal element he grew up around an gets paid.

McCarron would be gone numbnuts. Also using this would leave out UGA, UF, MSU, Ole Miss, but at USCe that bafkup they have is pretty good, but I don't think he was looking at them. FSU is supposed to have a good one too if he wanted to stay in the south.

Arkansas also could have been an option.
