Number 13 for Desoto also. I believe you know Bly, could you imagine if Keys went with them boys to Desoto like they was trying to plan smh. That 13u/FBU was loaded, hell I think Keys is the one of the very few that didn’t end up going to Desoto

Only 6A splits to two divisions according to size for the playoffs. 1A (6 man) to 5A split by size before the season starts for football only.

Also snapshot day for next year's realignment was last Friday. Desoto turned in 5A numbers... but could elect to play up to 6A. If not, that would be a heck of a Non-District game and I feel sorry for the 5A-D1 schools in the state.

That 5A D1 is loaded, won’t be the first time a 6A stte champ move down. Longview was 6A champs and thought 5A was going to be easy and haven’t been to the state game yet in 5A

DeSoto is a powerhouse program, perhaps ranked just a notch below Duncanville. DeSoto also won the state championship in the other Class 6A division in Texas, over a very talented Denton Guyer team last December.

No doubt a large # of Division I prospects for both De Soto and Duncanville were playing in Friday's game.

That's true... moving down doesn't automatically mean dominance. I'm just guessing what Desoto could be capable of doing.

Desoto is a crazy place. Back around 2013, we had to go there for bi-district game. They beat us 40-0, but I was on the sideline as assistant principal and the PA announcer started saying at the end of 3rd Q for students to start calling for their rides now. "Desoto ISD Stadium will be closed and locked 15 minutes after the end of the game. Those still in the stadium will be subject to arrest." Our AD went up to the press box and found out that was meant for the Desoto fans because of trouble at previous games. They said our parents could meet their sons outside the locker room and they would have protection. I stayed and followed the buses out and while I was waiting, there was a big fight in the parking lot between Desoto folks.

That had absolutely nothing to do with anything that's been discussed so far

Not fair to call Simmons “overrated” as some have, but he’s certainly no Von Miller. Not even close.
My understanding is that beyond NIL, Texas really pushing the “after college” connections Simmons would have as a Longhorn grad.

There was a time when Von Miller wasn't Von Miller. They call it development. I get talking down about a player we don't get, I'm a fan too, but at what point does the consensus get credit? Not a kid in the country ever that hasn't at times looked just like everyone else in a game. They aren't machines and are playing against teams that strategize to minimize impact. Big time DL look pedestrian often because OLs are designed to eliminate them.
