I wouldn't say "bust". Hit or miss definitely.

- There's the D. Lewis of the transfers, and a dude named Burrow
- There's the Traore transferrs where makes sense, but doesn't work out.
- Most of the transfers out haven't done much either. Campbell, etc.
- Then there's the Alexanders, Giles, and Evans. Those were busts.

Lewis and Traore were JUCO and part of regular signing class, not a transfer in the sense of the Burrow/Alexander/Giles kind.

Here's what I can remember:

Burrow: Obviously huge hit
Tracy: Huge boom
Moss: Pretty good size boom
Cox: (Still Early) Way more boom than bust IMO, although many people think all our LBs suck (Cox doesnt)
Alexander: Middle of road, played a decent but, wasn't bad, wasn't good
Shanahan: (Still early) I guess I'd say middle of the road
Giles: Huge bust
Evans: (So far) Huge bust

Think that's all the transfers we've taken under O. I guess Shanahan will also probably fall under the mid-tier category similar to Alexander.

A safety tandem of Davis Jr and Sage Ryan would be ridiculous.

why take 4 safeties in 1 class, when we need to reshape our front 7 to match the 4-3 better?

Have you seen our safeties play this year?

This thread should've been good news and now it's turned into unnecessary speculation of who we should drop. Why are we doing this?

And we've done this the last few years now jumping the gun for no reason because we couldn't even fill classes.

That Evans decision was pure panic.
I told people he wasn't good and got downvoted

I think 1 of the players that would probably look around is Xavier Carter.

#1 and #2 safeties in the country would be crucial.

Not at all. Said his film was good , and by that i meant his speed jumps off even against bad talent, guy can fly, and hes built. Just thought I remembered people comparing gee to Isiah Simmons, either lsu or clemson side, as something he could grow into (not now vs what Simmons was obviously).

If we get davis that's an amazing pull, and great position to be turning away another top talent because of depth the staff wants. Was merely asking since de, lb depth seems really low, and we'd have 3 safeties commited besides Langlois to aid there already.

Hopefully the staff learned their lesson last year. I think they got cocky with the 2019 season and felt like they could flip anybody. This season has probably humbled them a bit.
