Leach is probably the worst recruiter in the conference. Should never loose out on one to him. I’ve had beers with the guy at Tony’s in key west and as a football fan loved talking with guy and would jump to do do it again. Easy to see why a young man wouldn’t want to be anywhere near him though. He vomits information at you and either you are capable of taking it all in or not, but he isn’t slowing down to explain it.

Leach used to slam shots at the Corner Club in Moscow with all of the Idaho college kids

I find it hard to believe his players don't like him. Maybe not the Southerners though.

I'm sure most of his players like him but I doubt many want to be stuck in a room talking to him for long.

Let's give him some time with resources he's never had before and see what happens.

Going to land 4* Malik Nabers in about an hour.

Leach is the kind of coach and person you need to recruit kids to Pullman. He's totally different from all the other coaches and his system was different from the rest of the Pac12 when he was hired. I'm not sure how that will translate to the SEC, though Starkville is kinda like the Pullman of the SEC - a town that makes you wonder why in the hell it was chosen as the sight for a major university.

McK Jackson would have been nice to hold on to for 2020 class.

McKinley is a talent, but he was also the recruit that helped land A&M and Jimbo on probation from what I’ve heard.

Highest bidder kids like him can get too “hot” sometimes. Sometimes it’s best to drop out of the bidding.

Saw that. Jackson Prep and JA were probably on the phone with him yesterday.

If he chooses a local private school his best bet is MRA based on offense alone. He would easily have 1k plus yards and 10 plus tds. Prep has and always will be a run first pro style offense. JA is decent but kind of let MRA take away their shine the past few years.

On a MS HS message board apparently Smith had these 3 plus Madison Central as potential transfer destinations. Hoping he comes to MC since that’s where I graduated and still live in the area. For LSU fans if he came to MC he’s going to be facing top 6A teams week in and week out. 4 of the teams in region 2-6A are preseason top 10 in the state. (Warren Central at 10, Madison Central at 5, South Panola at 3, and Starkville at 2.)

MC wouldn’t be a bad landing spot

JA just picked up Lardarius Webb Jr who is committed to Nebraska

Mississippi state 247 writer is arguing with Deions trainer on Twitter. The msu fans on their board solved it:

quote:

Well he basically just gave it away that he's doing that for Coach O with Deion. Deion might actually be interested in LSU and who wouldn't be amazed by what they did last year but you can't tell me Shay didn't push him to flip from us to LSU and he's probably been paid by Coach O to keep him committed to LSU. He's getting money to a) Keep him from coming to MSU by any means (whether it's stick with LSU or try to sway him to OM) and b) Stay locked in with LSU

Steve threw no names of any adults or kids out there and Shay's first instinct is to use Deion as an example? lol. As you and others have said, a hit dog will always holler and he just hollered very specifically

Msu 247 writer tweeted that players who didn't get the official offers they thought they had should listen to their hs coach now instead of "mentors". So then Deion's trainer, Jimmy D and other started tweeted back at him.

Which happens to be hilarious considering Shay Hodge (trainer) played WR at Ole Miss. If this guy really thought he was influencing Smith to play somewhere do you think it would be to LSU to play against his Alma mater yearly instead of his own school? Steve Robertson is a joke with an agenda and is upset because the kid decommitted from State.

Am I correct in thinking that Southeast Mississippi recruits always went to LSU?

I’m confused. Did Smith not get his official offer from LSU yet?

I noticed both MS schools were having weak classes. The new staffs really got screwed with the shutdown.
