He didn’t get to play. Left home for the Florida game. Can’t blame him.

This does not surprise me. He has not worked out or shown the promise to work out.

I'm curious if between this offensive scheme and Hilton and Anderson breaking out that he sees his role is diminished compared to being a big fish in small pond.

We'll never know and I hope it's him trying to get more NIL.

One reason not to spend $1,000,000 for a HS CB from Mesquite.

This dude was always going to hit the portal after this yr

Why pay him 600/800K when he is a knucklehead who isn't producing on the field?

you go get a trey Moore or scourton.

Distance seems to matter in a lot of players of value leaving. There's not of lot of Greg Penn's.

disappointing but not shocking

after being left home against florida, not playing against OU and just generally being burried all year.

I was hoping he would stick it out, because i likes the potential.

He’s bigger than Swinson, who had plenty of size. He was disruptive when he played but there was clearly more to it than just him having talent. Seems to me that he’s been in the doghouse, which is why he’s leaving vs stepping into a starting role next year.

He was suspended, didn't make the trip to Florida.

Not entirely a shocker but shitty nonetheless

Well, that has nothing to do with his actual size. He’s got prototype size and athleticism for an edge, his actual ability to use those things is a completely different story. His measurables are what made him a 5* to begin with.

The younger guys are better than him; he just might want to get back up North.
