Cain isn’t the closer we thought he was

Yea because he hasn’t pulled a ton of highly rated guys in his position group who will sign or anything. It’s not his job to prevent a kid from being a moron and flipping to a dumpster fire program because they offered him a bag if that’s how he thinks then let him go be a nobody with the kids who only went to A&M for money last year. If he’s not smart enough to see the business side of this decision then he’s not smart enough to succeed at the college level. Not a loss and not on Cain if this goes that route

Cain is a beast and one of the best coaches on the staff. If we lose a kid, any recruit, because of money, so be it. There’s a delicate balance between kids that want to play for a good program and those that just want to get paid. Look at 4&8 for an example of kids that just want to get paid. To whoever believes Auburn has 13 mil for recruits this year is dumb as frick!!! Last year 8&4 supposedly spent millions upon millions for these recruits….yet when the dust settles we all learned it wasn’t even 3 mil. The 13 mil Auburn has for recruits is no where close to the truth. Only our fans would believe such bullshite!!!

One min everybody says they trust this staff and the next…the sky is falling!! Let’s let this cycle play out and see where we stand after the dust settles.

If we miss out on Reed, Austin (personally I think he will sign with us in the second signing period. His own brother who plays at Oregon St. told him not to pass up the opportunity to play DB for a school like LSU in the SEC), Mickens (which would be totally understandable) but we haul in Hall, Ricks, Toviano, Pimpton, Smith, Harbor, and one more DL guy. I would take that trade even if all 3 potential flip candidates flip!! We still have to be at 85 so I’m sure the coaches know exactly how many HS kids they want in this year.

Just miss me with AU spending 13 mil for recruits. I would say I can’t believe anyone thinks this could actually be true….then again it’s TD where the most pessimistic ppl seem to be

Let's see here: Dumpster fire program with no certainty on their future, coaching staff, program stability. Yeah, Auburn definitely isn't cheating to get this guy committed.

Ain't even trying to hide it.

If you’re a defensive recruit, with the rumblings of Lane, why take it? Reed had LSU and Ohio State battling, two major defensive factories, regardless of coach. Should he decide to head to Auburn, best of luck, but that’s likely not going to help him compared to LSU, for the next level.

I think the transfer portal will be very kind to our DT depth.

I saw a tweet today where one NIL group reported their $10M goal was achieved. I think it was Ole Miss, but can't remember. $13 million is real for AU. They have money.

I don't know what we are spending, but we aren't ranked 4th for being the holiest recruiting team of them all.

I thought someone like lota was on here saying lsu had stepped their game up.

Wonder how much of it comes down to kelly not wanting to spend absurd money on players.

As it gets closer to crunch time, one way or another you are going to see a lot of movement on predictions and more commitment flips than usual. Lots of teams have upped their NIL game since last year and each moving piece creates a need to go get someone else from another school.
