I accept the will of the people. Gumpbillies it is.

It will be interesting to see if Kiffin can stand up to the pressure he is bringing on himself and Tennessee. He/Tennessee are now marked men as far as other SEC coaches (and maybe High School coaches) are concerned. Doing this at USC, in the big fish eat little fish world of the PAC-1, is one thing. The SEC has many big fish and they are all eyeing the orange and white clown fish now. He may have made the waters a lot more dangerous for himself and Tennessee for the next few years.

Makes no sense. Weak. You get Gump, from a movie about the retard from Bama.

Gump has no connection to Tn. It'd be like Tn calling us Gumpasses, linking Gump to coonasses.

You need a more local Tn flavor.

Eta: For instance Jed, Jethro, Elly Mae, all Clampetts from Beverly Hillbillies.

Some derivation from one of them perhaps?

naw, hills of E. Tn

Came up with an idea.

From Green Acres they always had that lying, deceiving, SOB - Mr Haney. We could call them "Haneys" or juxtapose Lane Kiffen in there and call them "Laneys"???

I kinda liked Jethro's myself, but someone argued that would be giving them a compliment. But isn't the fact that it would be a compliment an insult.........I like it!

That is why I suggested MUMPS

Stands for Mountain Gumps...which is funny

Its fast to type...which is nice

If we don't explain it to them when they come here they will never get it...and that is funny to.

Yup...i'm calling 'em Mumps!
