Lots of chatter about Seaton wants LSU but uncle wants Oregon. Was posted on X by Oregon fans couple days ago I believe and last night Shea and Mascona (Said LSU chances are dwindling) mentioning this as well.

Do we see a classic last minute RPM by Shea or yall think Lane can still pull this off?

Honestly it’s a toss up. If Seaton deep down wants to go to LSU then he needs to make that call regardless of what his uncle thinks. Seaton is the one that has to play every Saturday. Not trying to disrespect his uncle, he was probably there for him his whole life but Seaton has to make that call.

Supposedly Seaton gave LSU a verbal commitment on Monday, per Mascona, but uncle wanted more visits…

Not sure if this was an option but maybe we should’ve brought the uncle down to BR to show him around with Seaton.

Seems like Oregon has worked some type of magic on the dude, I’m sure they just agreed to give him 47 different jerseys and pairs of shoes and he doesn’t know what to do with himself.

I actually still feel good. While he hasn’t committed to LSU, he hasn’t committed to Oregon either, so by that logic they shouldn’t feel any more confident. He still never visited there. It’s ultimately his call.

My take: getting the uncle on board is the last hurdle to close this thing. Yesterday they had all day to work on a plan for a final revised pitch. A lot of smart, creative, rich, and powerful people are involved in this. They got their ducks in a row yesterday and Lane is ready to make another charge. He doesn’t bitch and complain about this thing dragging out like we do, he just sees an opportunity. They make a revised financial pitch to close the remaining gap and sell unc, and Lane’s persistence really sells Seaton that he belongs at LSU.

If I tear his greedy money grabbing a-hole uncle a new one online, will it hurt our chances of getting him? Just checking

What out of any of that could you possibly think was disrespectful?

Some of you are so weird

Regardless, if he ends up at Oregon, it will be narrative will be the Uncle got his bag and ignored his "client's" wishes for his own gain

I just want a kid to choose LSU despite their uncle/mom/dad/cousin/brother in their ear trying to move them somewhere else

I'm sure it has happened before, but I don't remember any

Either way I’m fine with this as our coach showed much love to this young man. I think Seaton knows what he has as far as a head coach is concerned in Baton Rouge. I’m sure Kiffin will find, and possibly has OL that can get the job done but Seaton would have likely added much to a position of need.

Uncle likes getting his arse kissed, i get it but just like in car shopping if you dont get what you really want you'll regret it. Let the young man pick the place that he really wants.

Seaton wants to play at LSU. Time will tell if other factors pull him away from his commitment which was already made in previous days. Lane Kiffin has done an amazing job and if he ends up going elsewhere - it is NOT because of LSU and Lane Kiffin.

Huh?? All I’m saying is I’m not trying to devalue his uncle but Seaton need to make the best decision for him.
