He is from warren Easton and we are trying to add frank Wilson to the staff before NSD. We got a chance.

How much money would Clayton be able to say “no” to though?

Of all the RB’s listed in the OP, Ngata would be the best in this offense. And he’s more powerful than his size and style may lead on.

I both...
- like Drennen the most, think he's the best on that list
- also think his skill set lends itself to our scheme, and earlier reps in our scheme. I.e. for what we need, his the most familiar/furtherest along.
Note (to self? nah): assume any recruit [at skill position] that wants you to be all in, asks to be the only recruit at that position, or won't trade visit for visit (you don't go visit ______, we won't go in-home with _____) is going to play you and recruit his replacement non-stop.
I wish we had had, at this time, a deeper/closer relationship with Gibbs or Drennen.

Why would Curry transfer if we need RBs?

There was concern that he had the lowest skillset of the 3 RBs returning next year and they were all going to be sophs.

All these kids look good. With Emery and TDP, I like the idea of a scat back, APB in this offense. The coaches will come through and sign a great back for depth.

I like jamyr Gibbs as best option and number option either Daniyel Ngata, Clayton, or Mike drennan in no particular order as second option. Have not seen too much hard defense that Clayton has play against looks like weak defenses so I can't really have an honest say on Clayton but couldn't hurt to take 2 running backs. Definitely need one for sure. Really want to see Curry ball out vs Oklahoma and given a real shot. Curry could be a work horse, has the fire and grit if given a chance.

Take jalen Berger and call it a day
Dude will be an NFL back

Gibbs has always been best option

We could use an AP back like CEH, they really fit into our scheme. Maybe if we don’t take a RB this year, we can go all in for Wheaton next year?

I would take Gibbs out of these. Talented and is willing to outwork anyone on the team. That guy's parents have done a great job raising him.

Would really like 1 or 2 of Gibbs and Hubbard. Hubbard just sounds like a damn running back. I wouldn’t mind the instate guy Clayton either but I just feel like since we’ve taken so long that he would take that personal and may not be happy sitting and developing after being slow played by his instate school. I could be completely wrong but anyway I wouldn’t mind any 1 of these 3 or 2 of 3.

Curry has already redshirted, so he would have to sit out and lose a year if he transferred.
I think he will stay

24/7 Top 25 available LINK
This link includes a little more write-up about 5 of the 7 RBs listed in the OP (excludes Clayton & Gibbs).

I’m sure these rbs are thrilled to now be getting LSUs attention now that plan A fell through

Actually it would be a damn good situation to be the only Running back in the class.

Gibbs, Berger or pass for me. Really liked Achane but he’s signed

You mean the LSU that is ranked #1 in ALL polls, SEC Champion, Heisman and every other trophy that’s worth a damn winning LSU? The one that broke all previous LSU offensive records and several lofty SEC records? That LSU?
Yes, it must be a burden for these recruits to take that LSU Staff calls.

I’m on the same page with Curry as far as staying now.
I think this might hinge on how he is used in the OU game
With Clyde out we'll find out where he really is on the depth chart and if the carries the last few games were just to appease him
