The waiting game to see where things stood with LSU center commit Cole Smith is over.

This week, Smith will sign with the Tigers.

"I'm 100-percent a Tiger," Smith told the Geaux247 staff. "I was the whole time."

Smith has been committed to LSU since March 11, but last week's shuffle with LSU's offensive line coaching staff seemingly brought some pause to the situation, though Smith said he remained solid throughout. Former LSU offensive line coach Jeff Grimes has accepted the BYU offensive coordinator job, and LSU will bring in current NFL assistant James Cregg to coach the offensive line.

The new-look Mississippi State staff made a push for Smith in recent weeks, but he held back from making a visit to Starkville, instead choosing to sign with LSU next week

Love reading back through this thread to see all the experts and how "SURE" they were that he was flipping... proof, that no one on this board knows shite!

Honestly, recruiting pure centers out of HS is not a tried and true approach. Actually most times, a guard molded player transitions in college.

Not knocking the kid at all, but don’t hang your hat on the center talk.

He's played tackle for a while in high school. They have just identified him as a center for the next level.

In all fairness to Al Bundy, he was deliberate and cautious in his statements. He never said that Smith was flipping, just bringing info on what State was trying to do and saying that it might happen.

He chose his words much more carefully than some of the LSU morons did (about their own recruit btw) in this thread. It pleases me that the overwhelming majority of posters on the RB called out the BS.

Smith never even made a visit. If he was on campus and this thread is started ok, but that didn't happen.
