I’ve seen this movie before. He’s as good as gone and at a huge position of need. Hopefully we have another OL waiting to take his spot.

Hope it doesn't go down this way, but pulling a MS kid whose dad played for Miss St would have been a shocker anyway.

He was retweeting fellow Tiger Olinemen through 12/14.

One of the Bulldog insiders CB'd him to State that day and 2 others followed.

Wouldn't be surprised if he flips, but maybe the insider just threw it out there because that's when word came out about Grimes leaving.

I'm not giving up on Smith yet.

I know a lot of people read a lot into CB's but it's hard for me to see him flipping if he was truly a no show. But there could also be more to the story that we don't know, which is likely the case.

I'm happy if he no showed, but you're right that it's not definitive proof that he's not flipping. Last year, Willie Gay was a silent to us until spending time with the coaches at State the Sunday night before NSD.

The AL/MS all star game was Saturday, and I don't think he was supposed to be playing in it, but maybe he went there. Maybe he had a family thing pop up. Who knows. I'm sure we'll find out more in the coming days.

What you call honesty is anything but that. It’s your opinion or interpretation of things and it’s often wrong and typically presented in a negative way. Quit pretending that you don’t shite talk when you do.

Smith was reportedly supposed to meet with State coaches yesterday and did not. He also never showed this weekend. He's expected to stick with the good guys.

per Shea:
The waiting game to see where things stood with LSU center commit Cole Smith is over.

This week, Smith will sign with the Tigers.

"I'm 100-percent a Tiger," Smith told the Geaux247 staff. "I was the whole time."

Smith has been committed to LSU since March 11, but last week's shuffle with LSU's offensive line coaching staff seemingly brought some pause to the situation, though Smith said he remained solid throughout. Former LSU offensive line coach Jeff Grimes has accepted the BYU offensive coordinator job, and LSU will bring in current NFL assistant James Cregg to coach the offensive line.

The new-look Mississippi State staff made a push for Smith in recent weeks, but he held back from making a visit to Starkville, instead choosing to sign with LSU next week

Great news. This kid is a big time talent and a very smart kid. The kind of player that can anchor a line for 3-4 years
