Cole Smith possible flip to Mississippi State

Just giving a heads up this may happen. With Grimes leaving LSU and Mullen leaving MSU.
Word on the MSU boards is that Cole will be visiting State this weekend. His father Brent Smith is a MSU alum who also played in the NFL. Supposedly he was pissed MSU and Mullen didn’t offer Cole early and then when LSU did he committed.
There was zero chance in Cole coming to MSU with Mullen there, now with him gone our new HC Joe Moorhead and his staff (especially Mark Hudspeth ) have reached out to Cole and his Family about coming to state.
Not saying he is going to flip, but Grimes was one of the biggest reasons he committed to LSU and he’s gone. He will visit MSU this weekend and two MSU recruiting mods on 247 have Crystal Balled Cole to MSU.

Can we LSU fans please not make negative statements about a current commitment? We have no idea what the staff’s view of Cole is other than they thought highly enough of him to give him an offer. For all we know, the staff is concerned with him flipping given the family ties to Staight and are trying like hell to hold onto him. In that case, negative comments by LSU fans about the kid online do not help.

His two ties to LSU are no longer there and he grew up a State fan with a family of State season ticket holders so this isn't a surprise.He is one of the top three centers in America so the poster saying he was processed is badly wrong.
Also the Smith family was never mad at Mullen they had a highly dislike for Hevesy.Cole was never playing for him.

I guess 99% of power 5 teams haven't seen the tape either. We are competing against Tulane, ULL, USA, Southern Miss, Marshall, ULM, Troy, Miss St, Oregon. So how is it no other major program has found this gem? Is this game tape you speak of that hard to get?
