Lol let’s hope not. That would just be an embarrassing use of a scholarship on a team with holes to fill. They have a freshman QB that just looked great and grabbed your 2 biggest wins of the year. Another freshman that started several games. One of the best QB’s in the 2021 class in Nussmeier coming in and Walker Howard one of the best in 2022 committed for next year.

TJ for sure. Would be awful to lose MB and I'd doubt it but I don't see the need to take him unless you know you're losing two QBs.

I seem to remember this kid being in the mix earlier in the year. I like his highlights. He can really run, seems to have great pocket awareness and has a damn cannon. Maybe they feel like they need more depth for a variety of reasons, or maybe they think he’s the next Burrow. I trust this staff.

Could this possibly be the writing on the wall for a quarterback to enter the portal? I could see the scholarship offer be the response of a new need, if a quarterback were about to leave. I have no evidence to suggest this, just trying to understand why the offer was extended late in the process.

Maybe he was offered to be a preferred walk on....it doesn’t make sense to give him one of the remaining scholarships.

Especially given you have a qb that’s better than him in the class of 2022.
