Could not help but notice Canada was not of the coaches at the Rogers home visit nor the 4 star QB recruit out of Alabama we are after. Robinson took that home visit, and CEO with Ensminger told the Rogers home visit. Hmmm...

He's not our best recruiter. We sent our best recruiters.

Maybe, but I think that might be wishful thinking.

Robinson's territory is Alabama...which is where Foster lives. Robinson has been the point man on all the Alabama prospects.

Ensminger's territory is North LA. And having your HC visit always trumps your OC.

Rogers said in an article all his questions were answered by Canada during his offfical visit.
Ensminger has been recruiting Rogers since before Canada was a LSU coach.

Recruiting is first and foremost about relationships. Not titles.

As long as Canada was available for his questions and the one with the strongest relationship maintained that, all is well.

Never mind he sat in on the QBs meeting and film study... with Canada.

I will also say, aren’t we getting a little late in the cycle here for possible HC jobs for Canada to take? Feel like if that were happening it would have probbbbably already happened. Fingers crossed

There is the possibility that they went to the kids house and Skyped with Canada during the meeting.

With today's tech you do not always have to be someplace in person.

A recent article published by SEC Country pertaining to 2019 QB Grant Gunnell says that Coach O never even mentions Canada name when discussing the plans for his future. That is a major concern for the 2019 No. 2 rated passer out of Texas.

Hm, this can be explained a few ways, but recruits are assigned a recruiter and usually these recruiters will follow them throughout their HS career. I am not certain but TR could have been recruiting him from USC, TR is also from Alabama. Coordinators as good as Canada will leave thats just happens and recruits know this, I think creating a wining environment and showing upward progress is what win recruits this year.

Given his shaky status it is better not to be present.

Canada visited three guys. Cameron Rising, Matthew Baldwin, and I can't remember the third player.

Although Rising is committed to Texas, he has shown high interest in LSU in the past, and visited in the summer or 2016. Yeah, he's a longshot, but landing a good quarterback is a huge need this year and I have no problem with us casting a wide net. Would you rather us just wait on Rogers or hope Foster picks us and not have any other good options? That was the Miles/Cameron strategy and that left us with a players that had no chance of ever starting and were barely good enough to be backups. Orgeron wants to build a culture of competition and you can't do that if the backups are not good enough to push the starter.

Why do you think we have no chance at Mathew Baldwin? Apparently, both of his parents went to LSU and according to someone on this board, he would probably commit to LSU if offered.
