If I was them , I'd worry about Lane raiding Mississippi high school players.

This board is comical. Saying Frank isn't a good rb coach or recruiter.. Sure seems to be a lot of worry about him going to OM, as well as AT. Why is that?

Im sure he isnt recruiting LSU players right now, just like Weis isn't recruiting OM players.

Only time and money will tell how the NO recruiting scene shakes out, with Wilson at OM and Juluke at Texas.

The way yall talk about Franks seductive powers over high school football players is mythical. wtf do you think he’s doing to collect these dudes like some sort of siren?

Frank may have been doing NIL before there was NIL.

If you think Clapp went to LSU because of Frank Wilson, you are delusional.

Over half of those guys were 3* recruits that would’ve given their left nut to come to LSU. Didn’t Duke Riley Grey shirt or took a walk on spot because they didn’t have room? For the Fournette year, who was the primary recruiter that missed on all the South La guys who were “locks”?

I wanted Wilson as HC as I thought Lane would not make the move this year....but then I watched the Western Kentucky game and I realized he was not very good as a coach. Kelly could have pulled out the win against Oklhoma and perhaps even Bama, but Frank just could not.

Frank is a good recruiter, but remember now only the $$$$$ counts.

Here’s a better question. What elite recruits was Frank responsible for getting when he was at Ole Miss the first time and Tennessee? How many of those kids would’ve ended up at LSU anyway because they were staying home and LSU is the big home state school?

No Harlem Berry #1 RB for 2024? Wonder what he does after the bowl game knowing Kewan Lacy is probably coming to LSU?

Well he came to LSU knowing that Durham had taken over as the starting RB as a freshman and that JT Lindsey was coming. He also said he came to LSU for the home feeling, growing up around LSU, and the culture. Does that mean he won’t leave? I don’t think any of us know. I think he could be convinced that he could still shine in a good offensive system with Lacy here.

How many of his top recruits played for him at UTSA? People need to stop acting like the LSU brand isn’t a big part of his success.

When is the last time we didn't have a guy on staff with deep NOLA connections? I'm of the belief that recruiting isn't about connections like it once was, but it certainly doesn't hurt none.

I'll give Lane the benefit of the doubt that he knows what he needs and he knows what he doesn't. If you're going to throw stupid amounts of money at highschoolers, I don't think connections matter as much, but i don't think Lane is a guy that will overspend on guys out of high school. He seems to really prefer the portal.
