Can Shaq's son join as a walk-on and save us a scholarship?

I realize he won't have to pay a dime whether he's on scholarship or a walk-on because he's Shaq's son and we take care of family, but from a NCAA paperwork standpoint is LSU considering this option so we can go after another player?

This has already been asked, and the more it gets asked, the more ridiculous it becomes.

Funny u say mention this weird thread but that is what lot people were saying about Randy Moss son when was looking to transfer to LSU and when it was final. Maybe u should sit back and watch. It not like LSU is going to win a Natty in basketball the way they have been playing lately but Wade sure does bring in good players and players with a lot of hype

Do you think you can just add an athlete to a roster and be like...”oh, he isn’t on scholarship, but we got him.”? What the hell does that even mean?

Yes, if Shaq wants to pay for
Shareef's school costs it would free up another scholarship if needed for another highly ranked recruit. This has possibly been discussed with Coach Wade.

There are scholarship limits but not roster limits in basketball.

If he is good enough to deserve a scholarship he should receive it

If you don't know the answer, why is it a ridiculous question?

If you don't know the answer, be quiet. Don't try to ridicule because you don't know.

Yes, absolutely.

Would not and should not happen, but yes entirely possible and within the rules.

Why? Has LSU been penalized for Mashall Graves his first year on the team?

Wha tis the violation you think they committed?

I’m not positive by any means, but I heard it said by someone that knows more than me (which isn’t saying much) that that’s exactly how Gordon got on the football team. I was told that $$$ definitely had to do with it, either by donations or he paid his way and walked on. I’m sure someone here knows if he’s considered a walk on or not.

I believe that, but that kid wasn’t a 4 star, top 50 recruit in the country two years ago. It can happen within the NCAA rules, but it’s not gonna happen.
