This rumor doesn’t flatter Trev Faulk or LSU.

Having Trev would be a great message for kids who think leaving school early is the best decision.

Patterson's brother had a short lived off the field job at LSU but no idea what his job was at the Black Bears. I don't recall any NCAA violation charge there.

They changed the rule after Patterson because they basically found a loophole to launder payments to Shea through his brother.

So one assistant would have to be pushed out?
You get 9 or 10 assistants?

I'm not the one who started it

They can’t just offer him an on field coaching job right off the bat but they can offer him a defensive analyst spot with a nice pay raise from what he’s making now and a sure chance to advance. I can’t think of many better qualified guys to coach LSU’s LBs than the great Trev Faulk.

Trev Faulk is as good as if not better than any position coach presently on the LSU staff. Frankly I believe he’d immediately be the second best position coach on the staff behind Kevin.

Can only hire relatives (or others with personal relationships, like coaches) of recruits for on field positions.

Didn't the NCAA make this a violation afterShea Patterson's brother got a job at Ole Miss?
Well did patterson's brother have a HOF career at Ole Miss??
The funniest part of this is watching LSU fans talk about how Trev Faulk getting on field as a coach wouldn't be something that was and is at all times a realistic thing to occur. Even funnier is seeing guys talk about how it would be bad...Having Trev Faulk coach your linebackers as part of the overall defensive staff is something I'd expect to work out...Pretty sure he knows how to play the linebacker spots...

Did you play for him. Did you play at all. How do you know he's as good as any asst coach on the national championship staff?

Have you even met Trev Faulk? And had a conversation with him?

This is actually the exact opposite. They can’t offer him an analyst spot without running afoul of recruiting rules. Otherwise teams could just hand out “analyst” positions to any recruits’ family members as a way to funnel money to them

Where the hell are yall even hearing stuff about Trev Faulk possibly being offered a position on staff? Was it the thread that said "How did LSU lose a player with two family members on staff?" That guy thought Eddie Kennison was Trev Faulk.
