Ya but there's that whole Oracle dude and his michigan wife

They may feel the same way though after this season, a ton of dudes that can hand the ball off in the offense for a 1/10th of the cost.

For such a mid quarterback.

Michigan tried to hide him during the Ohio State game. What kind of generational quarterback is this? That's the bill of goods we were sold. As is almost always the case, the hype doesn't meet the talent level.

He's looked good at times this year. Jayden Daniels had a pretty bad soph year and then improved vastly in each of the last 2 years he was under Denbrock. Underwood probably is seriously questioning his development in Michigan's hands.

I'll say it again. NIL of this magnitude is stupid and its not sustainable. They need a cap on it to level the playing field. Similar to slots in baseball if your a first round pick or 10th round pick.

Starting QB range
Backup QB range
on down the roster...

If all teams can only spend $100k a year on a QB, then it becomes about the university again.

The whole deal was because universities were making money on their Name Image and Likeness with jersey sales, etc and the players couldn't make money because of NCAA rules. You mean to tell me Underwood's jersey sales are 2.5MM per year?

Although I would like to see it reigned in, it won’t happen without collective bargaining. The Supreme Court would be likely to strike down anything else

If we landed Underwood and not had this “go all in” year with Nuss / NIL, we might still be stuck with Brian Kelly.

New LSU era has started

Well he sucks so…

High school QBs are never a sure thing; this was always stupid.

Imagine Mitch Mustain, Gunner Kiel, Shea Patterson making millions

Why are people saying he sucks…

The offensive coaches, specifically the OC / QB coach and their schemes, have a massive impact on a freshman QB.

As someone else said, if he wants to come to LSU, I would take him in a heart beat in this Kiffin offense and their QB development.

ETA: He had a better season than Nuss lol

I think we should take a swing at him. He did not develop at Michigan at all this year and Lane can develop QBs. I’m not sure what he’s making now but just match it or go a little above and let him make the choice where he’d rather be.

I hear he kicked in $16 and a Starbucks loyalty card that was one purchase away from a free latte.
