Anyone think he comes in and challenges jennings for the starting job next year? Kid is impressive and definitely sounds like a leader. Someone you want in the huddle with the game on the line. Arm strength seems to be through the roof and he throws a pretty deep ball. Very mobile as well. LINK

I don't know if he will challenge for the starting next year, BUT the talent he has will only push AJ to improve. I'm excited to see AJ with a year working under Cam get on the field, will be nice that he already knows the offense. Can only imagine what it will be like next year

No doubt about it IMO. He'll definitely have the opportunity to win the job IMO. Jennings looks like a great QB, don't get me wrong, but some people are anointing him LSU's starter for the next 3-4 years and we haven't even seem him play a full game yet.

I really hope he does, he definitely has the ability to and while he's very mobile it seems like he wants to pass first and has a very nice touch. Even if Jennings wins the job, the competition would definitely make him better. This is a great problem for us to have and I wouldn't mind if either started.

Jennings came in with a college ready build and mindset. Harris is skinny as a twig and although he has the arm, he needs to hit the weight room and the cafeteria to bulk up.

Harris is best served to red shirt. If he doesn't, he will be one year behind Jennings, and in the same class as Rettig for the rest of his college years

*not counting transfers

Jennings has the playbook on lock, look for him to get 90% of the snaps next season, we will see Rettig some. Harris will have to enroll early and do work to battle for backup spot.

Did you mean we can't count him out?

The back up is always better than the started. Even if he has not stepped foot on campus.

many were saying the same shite about Rettig last year and he has more time in the system and coaching from Cam. whatever happens, we have never been stronger at the qb position as we are now.

get better, get ready...get even.

I could imagine they could have Harris line up wide with Jennings under center might be a deadly combo with Harris's athletic ability and cannon arm. Just for an added wrinkle.

Sorta like the trickery that almost was with Mett at receiver last week?

AJ benefited from enrolling early. Will be a fun spring game this year.
