Good pick up. A lot of people were just talking about this kid a few weeks ago about how he can boom punts and has great hang time. With LSU having Helton being a SR next year, this was a great pick up for the special teams!!!

Good pickup timing wise. Recruiting one next year would be stupid. That would leave yourself in a fix if he didn't turn out the way you planed.

Winning the field position battle is definitely important. As a Saints fan, I am pretty happy about the Saints "wasting" a draft pick on Morstead.

There are three phases to football. Special teams can lose a game faster than the other two.

Kickers/Punters are one of teh more important positions on the field.
I'm surprised there not more emphasis on their positions.

Great bump. This thread would've been great when I called someone out for saying offering a punter would be a wasted scholly. I think it was slowflowpro after he denied he made such a statement.
