Rik Smits' kid at Valpo is worth a look. So is T.J. Holyfield from Stephen F. Austin. Jayce Johnson from Utah is a role player but not a bad pickup. Joey Brunk from Butler would be OK.
Yanni Wetzell from Vandy and Domenic Oleniczak from Ole Miss might be all right as well.
But I'm not sure the guy we really want has declared yet. We might need a JUCO transfer to get that physical big who replaces Kavell.

Interesting names of note:
Darryl Edwards (LSU via juco )
Danya Kingsby (LSU via juco)
Chad Lott (Howard via Rice via Byrd HS)
Kieran Hayward (Umass via LSU via Australia)
probably more. It’s a long list

Really weak for bigs listed as immediately eligible. Wetzell and Benson have some experience but that's about it.

Conclusion: coaches don’t let good big men get away. I don’t think I saw anyone (other than one guy) above 6’6

Kavell Bigby-Williams was quite the find.

Nice link.
Saw Cameron Lard in there from Natchitoches. Trying to leave Iowa State. Listed at 6-9 220.
No idea if Wade would be interested.

Love the portal, but I wish it listed stats and other info.

It's sorted by position you must've only looked at the guards

Yea there’s dozens of big men. Not sure of quality, but the quantity is there.

Just and fyi.
According to eurohoops.net Smits has declared for the NBA draft.
My apologies but don't know how to link it here.

Are those kids leaving alabama for alabama?
Posted on 4/15/19 at 10:23 pm to Relham10
Considered leaving but stayed

Smits is just getting an evaluation. Likely won’t stay in draft.

I know they aren't immediately eligible, but the Hauser brothers from Marquette would be solid additions. I think Virginia has the upper hand right now though

Yeah, that's a new development on Smits. He would have been the top transfer of the bunch.
I wish Shakur Juiston was a little taller. We don't really need a 6-7 forward, but that guy is a legit double-double guy. He's a little too much like Emmitt Williams for our needs though.

What about coaching changes? JC players signed to schools like Buffalo, Nevada and St. John's may want to re-think their recruitment.

What's the word on the Quinerly kid transferring from Nova?

Well I don't know what Jahvon Quinerly's problem was at Nova, but he was a pretty darn good PG in HS. Def worth Wade looking into if he wants to replace Tremont. I really want Watford and Quinones, and with the other spot, or spots if they take the scholarship from Graves, I'd like to see a post player. But getting Watford and Quinones is priority number 1, IMO. Wish I had better information on who all LSU is seriously after and who has LSU high on their list. It seems there are some players nobody can get a good feel for and have no idea where they are leaning until signing day. 2 years ago I hadn't even heard the name Tremont Waters until the day he signed with LSU. So I know Wade doesn't make public some players he is after. Hope there's some good ones in his radar.
