Try to keep this short
16 yo 10th grader never played but is the team manager threw at practice 90 lefty. At 5’8 110 should grow but he lacks confidence that he can throw… where is he sitting for his age etc?

Also I’m assuming he has 1 pitch but the coaches are working with him. Problem is he doesn’t like baseball. Part of that is this is the first time he’s played since he was 10 ish and not very good.

Why is he a team manager if he doesn’t like baseball

threw at practice 90 lefty

Sorry, but I don’t believe a 110lb kid threw 90.

Also if he doesn’t like baseball why does one become the team manager?

I’m relaying what the coach told his mom and basically telling her to convince him to play. He just wants to hangout with is friends.
As far as whether he did or didn’t isn’t really my question.
If all that is true, where is he sitting if he does play? I think his mom is wanting to know if he could play in college. He’s already recruited for golf.

An untrained 110lb kid ain’t generating enough torque or force to throw 90

Then don’t make him play. Let him make his own decision without pressure from you

Send me pics of the mom so I can make the best judgment possible.

All seriousness, IF he’s tossing 90 from the left side at 16 then of course there’s a chance, even if it’s Juco or D11. Let him make his own decision though. Also send pics of the mom.

If he’s actually 5’8” 110 and throwing 90 from the left side then he’s already got more than enough to make him a legitimate pro prospect. Even if he doesn’t grow another inch, that’s obscene levels of projectability.

The only issue is that kids who weigh 110 and have never played baseball before don’t throw 90 from the left side

I’m 5’9”. I weigh 150 or so now, and I’m still skinny. I weighed 125 when I was on drugs. I was unhealthy. 5’8” 110 is insanely skinny.

Is this kid autistic or just you? No 110 lb anything is getting on bump throwing 90 from left side or any side

no he isnt not throwing 90 at 110 lbs. i virtually impossible at that weight for that height. sorry but either your gun is way off, you are straight up lying, or you just are naive as frick and have no clue wtf you are talking about. The weight to height coefficient makes it almost impossible, just doesnt have the momentum potential.

i promise i do know what i am talking about.

90 at 16 would put him in the top 10%. being untrained at that height and weight would put him in the top 0.001% and essentially mean he has the ability to be a hall of famer and all while not even playing the game or lifting weights to work on producing the rotational forces needed.

in other words full of shite.

kid prolly threw 75 at best.

like i said...lets pretend the claim is true...he isnt a college prospect...the kid is 1st round, top 10 potential because with a year of training properly in the weight room, long toss, learning to throw with intent and learning to pitch the kid will be triple digits with hardly any arm stress from long term pitching.

but none of this shite is true so doesnt really matter. but ftr this would put him in the 4th standard deviation from median for that age.
