Where else? Old Mississippi

Ole Miss is the probable destination. He has family/friends that never wanted him at Bama.

Before you downvote me, this is from someone who knows him personally.

Yep he is from there and I think his finalists were Bama, LSu and the Mississippi schools. So Ole Miss is very familiar to him, plus Golding probably had a big part of his original recruitment

Spring window isn’t as good of a crop of players as this past one. A lot of spring window is full of guys that got passed up in spring ball and weren’t going to play where they were at and then a select few grad transfers.

Damn man.. if this is true just damn.. I try to not panic and normally stay level headed when it comes to these things. But it just makes no sense how Ole Miss can obtain Walter Nolen AND Oatis. Along with Prince from Florida. Not to mention Amos and Richardson (who is now gone to the draft) And we cant get not a single dt?? Im not asking for a Nolen, but I mean damn we cant get at least a mid level dt prospect when they are getting all these studs??

While true, that doesn't mean you can't get good players in the spring window. While it wasn't set up like it is today, Joe Burrow was a spring window guy. Sometimes other coaches judge a player incorrectly to the benefit of another school.

And those are the players we will likely key on. We need a few experienced starters who won’t be here more than a year or two so they aren’t in the way of better future recruiting from the revamped defensive staff.

Why? They still have House 2.0 as their DC and a dipshit head coach who has never had a team with a defense worth a shite.

It wasn’t like their offense was anything special last year against any decent defenses. But I’m sure the Kiffinsexuals don’t want to discuss those games.

My question is how many spots does Ole Miss have? I feel like they’ve been involved in most big name transfers

Man, that's a guy who'd have been PERFECT for LSU to grab. I think that would be an addition for which it might actually be worth getting into a bit of a bidding war. Oatis is a guy who 1) heavily considered LSU during his initial recruitment, 2) plays our exact position of need, and 3) is a very good player, but not so good as to command NIL prices in that very top tier.

Unfortunately, he's from mississippi IIRC, so ole miss would be a logical landing spot, especially with how they've been spending in the portal this offseason.

Feels like this is what Kelly and co. are moving towards.

Spring evals of the roster, churn some guys that aren't cutting it, backfill with transfers, and be ready to roll for fall camp.

Not a bad approach, IMO. The fans have to be patient, which is hard when you see other SEC programs loading up from Bama's defections. Save most of the NIL for HS recruits as long as you are pulling in top classes and only spend it on transfers when once know exactly what their value is for your program.

Exactly. A lot easier for all of us to say "want" for every guy that hops in the portal, than it is for CBK and the staff to evaluate our own guys, identify gaps, evaluate portal candidates and try to get the right guys onboard.

That also doesn't account for the new staff coming in and assessing what they have and what they need to run the kind of new system we're undoubtedly going to install.

We also don't see behind closed doors how guys are developing either.

TLDR - trust in CBK. #Alignment.
