The optics do look bad on that especially considering Verge somehow survived being canceled by all the bad press. He also got caught leaking shite out of the admin once before. I don't know how this dude still has a job at LSU. He must have some real dirt on LSU.

That's the part I don't get.
I understand wanting to leave BR and getting out from under his father's shadow. But what is appealing about spending any more time than it takes to pump gas in a distant suburb of Montgomery?
If I had that kid's athletic options, desire to leave BR, and willingness to play for a mediocre football team, I'd be at UCLA 10 times out of 10.
