Les is 3-3 against Saban, 5-3 against Bama and 2-1 against Saban in BDS. Are those skewed stats as well?

No, those are valid arguments. The sky isn't falling, but there are some trends to be concerned about. Its certainly fixable, but pointing out the concerns doesn't mean the the program is vastly inferior either.

Both are cranking out guys to the NFL, but Alabama has big momentum going on right now.

Again, both put players in the NFL and will continue to. Bama will most likely have 4 this year to LSU 2. But next year, it's very possible LSU has 4 and bama 2, etc..this specific argument is overrated. Both schools recruit well and develop high level players.

Where have i heard that before?

I think both have had 7. All of Alabama's have been in the last 3 years and they will probably have 4 this year to LSU's 2. Part of that because a lot of LSU's key players were underclassmen this year. LSU could have more first rounders in 2013 depending on who goes pro early : Montgomery, Reid, Faulk and maybe Mingo could be first rounders.

agreed.

Remember, of the Bama commits, right now they have 8 from Bama, and 8 from Georgia and 2 from Louisiana.

LSU has 15 from Louisiana. 2 from Georgia (one of whom has Louisiana roots).

Bama has one each from many many states. Bama spends half a million more on recruiting than LSU does.

Better wake up. The "unending praise " is justified. Watch this year's NFL draft and see how many Alabama players go in the first round ( 4 or 5 ). If you think the kids that dream of playing pro football don't see that, you had better remain in the hills of Ten. Also, check Alabama's list of commitments for 2013---they already have 3 of the top players committed. The gap is widening whether you want to admit it or not. We should have beat them on Jan.9---it may be a while before we get another chance.

Not admitting this AT ALL. This year is not a fair comparison. LSU was a much younger team than Bama thus more Bama players eligible for draft.

LSU fans putting this sort of stuff up for public consumption makes no sense to me particularly when not backed up by fact. Bama doesn't need to sell themselves to state recruits we'll just do that for them

I think because of the fact that we are on probation, we aren't pushing the envelope as much.

I hate to keep saying this and getting into arguments about it but January 9th only proved to me that Jordan Jefferson is one of the worst qbs of all time. If he was bama's qb they would have lost also and if our qb was halfway decent it would have been a close game that went either way. I've been arguing all day with people about this, and it seems like everybodys a bama dick rider now. I still feel they are in,no way shape or form better than we are and the quarterback is what made the difference. Not to say lsu us any better I just feel we are about equal and if we had a decent qb we would have won.

Maybe some of those guys want to play for Alabama because:

1. They have one of the most successful college football programs in history,

2. Have the best college football program in SEC history by far

3. Have won 2 of the last 3 National Championships

4. Have the best coach in college football hands down

Why is it so hard for people to admit that Alabama is top of food chain right now?

Scratch number 4 and I will agree. Or edit it to say one of the best.

There is no debate Saban's the best. 3 crystals > over anything any current coach has done.

We know he is 3-3 against miles, but miles is lost 3 times to Nutt lol twice at Ole miss.

Really? There is no debate? The "best" coach changes regularly and let me tell you, Tressel, Stoops,Saban,Myer could all lay claim at some point in the last decade.

Saban and Bama are by the letter of the law, at the top of the food chain. Miles and Co. just went undefeated in the SEC and won the conference. Both programs have hardware that is worth bragging about.

As far as recruiting "titles" Rivals is losing cred every year and ESPN is horrible at it. Not the rest are perfect.

Saban has been operating just on the margin of NCAA rules and may have crossed over in the L Collins recruitment. It wouldn't surprise me if things he has done to get the girlfriend reeled into Bama lead to an NCAA investigation. In any case, Saban seems to have made it into a personal thing to target Louisiana players.

I will post an article about this in another thread.

The links I posted were removed. Guess the power on here couldn't take it. What I posted was simply in the public domain, and shouln't have been censored for any reason. Give some people the power and it goes to their heads.

He just wants the best players he can find position for position. Saban is a perfectionist and winning is not enough for him. He wants to completely dominate the opposition and have the most talent he possibly can. If that means going out and getting players from other states he will do it. You seem to forget that he coached in Louisiana and has several coaches on his staff that did as well. It's only natural that they would try to recruit the area. If they can get some talent and weaken a rival conference opponent that's a double bonus. Recruiting is a big part of beating the opposition, especially when you can take players they want.
