Please excuse the music, lol. His highlight tape is ridiculous for a freshman. That’s a grown man. I don’t know if he is a true freshman or not, but SCe was lucky to have him even for a year. I hadn’t watched him play very much.

We’ve got to get at least 2 edge guys from the portal. We have Reliford and Carpenter, but that’s about it. Damien Shanklin was a a freshman that looked against SLU. Maybe he progresses.

I don’t think I’ve said this about hardly any collegiate player yet since NIL started, but Stewart would be worth every penny of that. I think Kiffin would pay him that to come to LSU. Dude is a game changer and would be a pretty big upgrade over anything LSU even had on the line this year.

Honestly Stewart is going to be worth the price tag he wants.
Stewart is a possible 1.1 pick in the 2027 draft. He’s projected as that right now by multiple websites. His stats aren’t Clowney like, but the production he puts out per his snap count is top tier. When he’s out there, he’s a game changer.
If LSU can land the projected #1 pick in the draft, you do it every time.

I would think Lane has talked to "the money guys" and if they have ponied up this much to get to this point that they wouldn't blink on putting up a little more if it was the deciding factor to land Stewart.

If you want Baker’s Blitzing to improve even more, you go get him a game wrecker like Stewart. That allows for even more disguising when you can get home with 3-4 rushers.
