Are we done at tight end?

I am having a hard time thinking we are done at TE.
We have:
Bauer Sharp
JD Lafleur (true frosh)
And if needed Tredez Green.
Kelly likes TE so much that I don’t think we go into 2025 with just one proven player.
It’s not just the unproven Lafleur, it’s a dislocated pinky that puts no one behind Lafleur.
I think he goes after one more and call me crazy to say that we go for two.

Think Green moving back to tight end and sounds like he is working on getting better blocking.

This makes sense and also, we have some VERY good wide receivers and are now deep at the Wr position at 12 men.
I will say that we should be at least 4 te for two TE formations.

I think people misunderstood/jumped the gun on the Green move to WR being permanent and not just a move we made in a season with some injury crunches at the time at WR

TE is his best shot at the League. Coach BK puts TE's in League. Smart move for Green.

I think Bordelon had been the additional tackle in jumbo packages. They’d switch his jersey to make him eligible.

They’ll likely add another. Might be in the spring portal, but there’s no way we go into 2025 with only 3 TE’s, one being a true freshman.

I don’t think it is as high a priority as safety (and maybe still OL) right now, so they will allocate the resources to those spots. But they’ll probably consider another TE if the right guy becomes available. Be it in the “bowl/CFP” wave of transfers, or after the spring.

Yeah we still need a blocking tight end. Green and Baur are both catching tight ends

It’s in Greens best interest, as far as NFL, to be a TE. I think they’ll encourage to put on a little weight and improve blocking. If he can improve as a blocker he can be a Jimmy Graham type TE who splits out a lot, but can line up on line when needed.

I feel like they have to bring in someone else. Primarily a blocking TE.

Portal activity is far from a done deal......even for TE's. There will be more to enter over the next couple of weeks. You will probably be watching some on TV that will enter when there season is REALLY over

No idea if we are looking at this kid, but Holden Staes from Tennessee might be an option.

LSU will have some portal entries after spring ball. Others teams will lose players too. I think that is when we add another te.
