Intriguing LB prospect, recently switched position from QB. He has 2 years of eligibility left and is obviously looking for immediate playing time.

That's interesting and must be a huge benefit for a LB to understand what qb sees and possibly be able to anticipate the play before it happens or as audibles happen. Pretty cool he should go to Kansas lol

Dang. Nice highlights. Dude looks like he's got a little Devin White in him. Not quite as fast I'm sure, but very similar styles and instincts.

Love his film, would like to see him in coverage a bit more, but it shouldnt be a problem for an ILB. Great at sideline to sideline pursuit, closes the gap quickly, excellent form tackling and knows how to lay a hit.

The SEC refs wont let that hard-nosed, heavy hitting old school great play fly here, this guy will be targeted for sure - by the refs. If he commits, the REC slush fund will have to prepare to counter...

Looks good but man I would love for the staff to find a JUCO DL soon if we’re not gonna get any of the H.S. guys we are targeting like Stripling, Handy, etc.

I'm not the negative type, but if we're going to push for linebacker who is new to the position then Christian Harris would have been a great target. You'd get 4 years vs 2 years.

I'd offer the right JUCO player, right mix can be additive to the roster. Sure your want 75-80% or more of your '25' to be 3-4 yr types. But if you need to fill a hole or add critical depth, why not get a guy who has some experience, and is likely to be more mature and physically developed? Just saying.

We already have

Donte Stark 6'1 230 lbs
Kendall McCallum 6'3 230 lbs

Coming in a MLB/ILB. We will probably be down Taylor because of his off the field stuff so having another upperclassmen with skills like Viramontes makes sense.

The kid can move and if anything can provide good depth at ILB/MLB that we were running short on at the end of the year.

Im all for it.

I’d take Aranda’s judgement on linebackers over yours.

I agree; however it was reported LSU had no LB film on Harris so they asked him to camp/come in for an evaluation with Aranda. If the kid blew LSU and Aranda off by not even showing up at camp, what is LSU supposed to do ? They offered him at H-back which Harris declined.

Might as well give it a shot if they want another lb in this class and they apparently do.

Neither Dean nor Deng is coming to LSU.

He looks like a football player. Mad instincts and tough with some good speed mixed in. Throws the ball well and runs the RPO really good. If he doesn't add LB depth then he could make a go to guy as QB.

Put him and burrow in the backfield with a competent TE or two and you could obliterate a lot of defenses.

I've always thought we goofed not doing that with narcisse. He wasn't astounding... But he could have worked in that system.

Obviously different competition, but he looks really quick and runs through people on tackles.

Devin White may be the best LB in LSU history, but let this guy and Queen compete at WLB next to Phillips, and we'd be really good at LB again. I like it.
