I watched Landon Collins in that San Antonio AA game.
Doubt it. Collins didn't play in that game, he played in the Under Armour AA game in St. Pete.
And so it begins.....

Just because it's taking him longer than expected to make the change to WR & LSU hasn't had the greatest passers while he's been trying to do it, don't think he isn't a threat.
ETA:
Think learning to slalom behind a boat with a 25 horse power outboard motor (It's hard to get up).
Hopefully we'll see more of this type of play with a passing threat like Mettenberger is supposed to be. Auburn run

I personally thought Landon was the #1 player in the country last year. Sure he needs some coaching(who doesn't) but his athletic skills are off the charts. He deserved the rankings he had. He's a top of the line S prospect. Some even said the best pure S prospect ever. Not sure I go with that but he's up there. I'd have him above Cravens this year.

Sounds like you should be running your own recruiting service since you're so good at it.
Might as well...everyone else tries their hand in it, including 24/7 which was started by some ex-Rivals people. But the main point in the variance in opinions...you have some guys in top 150 or so by some services who are 3* in another. And BTW, at least I try to do some research on them. Like Frank Allen said last year about some LSU signees not being highly rated, he said something like, "yeah, it's pretty amazing they can rate guys without even watching them play or work out."

Yes, it was that game as it turns out. Other than that do you have a point or just being a smart arse? The game was televised...both of them were, and the play I described where he tried to knock down the RB on the sidelines happened and he got put down on his arse. Maybe you think it makes a difference whether that occured in Florida or Texas...actually it makes 0 difference.

First, what kind of passer he has/doesn't have has 0 to do with being tackled with a sneeze or being bodyslammed on tackles. The guy never developed any strength. Second, funny how with admittedly bad QBs throwing to him, his balls always came up short while it didn't happen to everyone else. That tells me the guy ran his routes poorly. So, he is NOT good after the catch, NOT a great route runner, and NOT a great blocker. The guy has one great asset...straightaway speed, but doesn't have great avoidance moves like Odell Bechkham has. I believe Beckham was a medium 4* on Rivals...Shepard was a 5* on Rivals I think although he slipped down spots during the recruiting season. Bottom line for me...Shepard is probably a high 3* at best out of HS. NOT a 4*, certainly nothing approaching a 5*. And if you watched the UnderArmour skills competition for QB, he finished I believe dead last in the QBs...ball flutters like a quail having been shot and during the moving target skills test, he was way behind in even throwing to the targets which means he probably winds up like Jordan Jefferson to even release the ball.

Well, when you get your facts wrong it makes it hard to take you seriously and you look like the dumbass you really are.

I think he was just trying to call you an idiot regardless of the impact location had on an individual's performance.

Is Milesthebest another one of your alters along with mistert?

Wow, that is your entire point...that I named the wrong all star game?
Hey idiot, why don't you tell me the play I'm talking about didn't occur? I can also tell you that Collins intercepted a pass that was overthrown to the receiver several yards in front of him and went right to him. Guy, if YOU don't keep up with the players and what they did/didn't do, NOT my problem!

IMO I think BigEd is right on when comparing Hootie to LC and PP7 as that type of athlete. However, that's where the comparisons Stop...Although LC did deserve his 5* as a safety prospect I believe Hootie has a higher upside than LC does and will most likely turn out to be a better prospect for LSU than LC if Hootie decides to go there. I've watched most of LC film and he's more of a box type safety whereas Hootie has ball skills you rarely find in a safety. From what I've read (Rivals 7on7) Hootie played corner the whole time there and was said to be the top player on the southwest team. He could be one of the best safety prospects to ever play in the purple and gold if he attends LSU.

Now, it becomes clear...another great conspiracy guy. The other day, a poster accused me of being "max" whoever the hell that is. The bottom line...the uninformed typically accuse people who disagree with their opinion of being imposters...either alias of someone else, a bama plant, etc. You guys are sooooo predictable. Psst, NOT a great strategy to do the old multiple userid routine.

I like how you completely disregard the fact that he had an interception and it was not as easy as you make it seem. Also he had several tackles including stoning a RB on the goal line to prevent a TD. I'm mad that he went to Bama too, but I can still see that he is a great athlete and a good if not great player at this point.

Yeah, and my response would be the same as Rhett Butler..."frankly my dear, I don't give a damn".

You're overuse of ellipses gives you away.

Uh, I was the wrong who mentioned the INT to begin with...so exactly how does that mean I disregarded the INT...I brought it up. As far as him going to Alabama, I don't care. I want players who want to play for LSU and like I said, he would have been a quality player (I said a medium 4*), but he simply isn't a 5* guy. That would also include Loston who was also rated a 5* guy.

Uh, hate to tell you, but a lot of people use that same technique. Once again, love the people who accuse posters of having multiple userids. Tell me, you hitting the Roswell convention this year?

You acted like it was 0% skill on Collins' part and the ball was just handed to him by the QB.

Yeah, and they all seem to be stupid trolls. Funny coincidence
