Cotton will be a beast. May be in rotation at some point this season, but a future stud nonetheless. He explodes off the ball.

My guess:

Traore - didn't bring a JUCO in to sit

Surtain Jr - if he's ours

Marshall- WRs are LSU right now are not that good so he could easily come in and be #1

Chase - see above

Joseph - possibly. he will eventually but the DBs is starting to become an embarrassment of riches at this point

About the only possibilities I see starting. Chase probably won't since Marshall takes his spot but it would not shock me if both are starting then they look to process some underachieving WRs here. Surtain is going to take 1 of the 2 open CB spots. The second one will be difficult to gauge because we have some comes next year like Fulton still on the roster. That nickel back position will be interesting to see who grabs it. Not really a "starting CB" but since we have so many nickel situations I guess you can include them.

No way. I think Anderson, Sullivan, and Giles all have big years. Does Drake Davis finally put it together?

Sorry, but Drake Davis cannot catch (I was one of his biggest fans during recruitment) and Sullivan had a few drops this season, not just from Etling but from perfect passes by Brennan. I’d love for the 6’6” 235lb guy to be the man, but he has way to prove it! Anderson actually looked good after being in the dog house for off the field stuff the first half of the year. He had one catch in traffic on sideline that he high pointed that was one of LSUs better receptions of the year!
I see Anderson, Giles, and Marshall (who is an EE) taking the top 3 WR slots next year and Chase and Sullivan competing for the 4th spot. I think Dillon is better than those 2 right now, but see and Giles both being slot guys and give the edge to Giles there.

Yah Chris curry as a freshman starter, he will lead the way with a heavy dose of clyde helair And surtain will be a starter along with Kelvin Joseph if they follow thru and stay with Lau. Jamar chase if he commits to lsu. I really think he will start first game if not first, 2nd game for sure

There will be a few true freshmen starting for sure. We always have some that are just too damn good to keep off the field.

Ja’Marr is extremely polished. He will definitely play if not lock up one of the starting 4 spots. Can’t speak for Marshall since I’ve never seen him play.

From the 2018 class?

There's a chance for a WR, IF we go three wide. If we don't, it'll likely be Giles and Anderson.

Surtain is likely opposite Williams at the start of the season.

If Curry proves to be even more of a beast than I think he is, then I could see him starting either at the beginning of the season, or by midseason, with Helaire getting a healthy amount of carries as well. I like Brossette, but I don't see anything "special" from him. He'll get a lot of carries as well.

I highly doubt any other freshmen starting next year.

There are very few WOW, players in this class. The vast majority will be depth for years until some of them mature.

probably be someone no on e expects also. Who could have predicted tory Carter out of last years class would have this much impact. He was a guy a lot of people questioned why he was even in the class
