If you think Saban is going to cut 12 scholarship athletes your delusional.

As has been mentioned everyone tends to oversign (look at Arkansas). Just because we're in the running for all those guys I'm sure Saban understands we won't land them all, and just like last year this year there are probably a few who will be academic casualties. We graduated 9 had a few leave early or transfer, had a lot from last year that didn't qualify, we'll have a few from this year that didn't qualify, and just like all programs when it comes time to be at 85 we'll be there like everybody else.

As far as Scholarships go just like in Academics Athletic scholarships are 1 year renewable, you drop below a 3.0 you lose your academic scholarship, you don't perform you lose your athletic scholarship I don't see what the problem is I lost an academic scholarship for dropping to a 2.99 I didn't see a public uproar about it.

I doubt any Tiger fans are openly worrying about Bama fans not flooding our board with their rhetoric

You've got to give the Gumps a break. There are a lot of English words that were written in the first two pages of posts that they're still trying to comprehend.

For you we prefer it that way.

Face it, guys. Saban is a cold-hearted, snake in the grass, lying scoundrel who will wear out his welcome in about 4-5 years. Hes just mad at God for making him a midget.

He is a very good coach though.

To answer prominetwon's question: Personally, I don't care how it all works out. Saban's the guy that has to worry about that. The only time I'd give a crap is if he was less than honest in his dealings with recruits, or shafted some kid that didn't deserve it. Last season everything worked out like magic. We'll see how it goes this time. You're right that it looks like way too many kids.

Are you fricking serious? this is your reply? I asked a simple, honest question in my original post. What's so hard about answering it? I didn't do it to flame you guys.

Yet, we're still called delusional and "corndogs?" (That's still the dumbest fricking nickname I've ever heard in my life.)

no need to get so defensive.

at least you replied like a normal human being....

as for your above statement, looking at the numbers, again I point out that there's possibly 15 current players that may lose a spot. How is that not being shafted?

The short answer is I don't know. I can guarantee you that Saban would come under fire from all of us if he treated kids unfairly. We're going to have to wait and see what he actually does I guess. Personally I hope he doesn't step on his crank.

BTW the flame wasn't at you. There's a couple of guys here that chafe my nads with their ignorant, anti-'Bama crap.

Atleast you only get it from an LSU forum. I've lived in Mobile, AL for 16 years now... and it's BAMA city down here... even the newspaper is hardcore BAMA bias. All my friends are BAMA fans. Can't wait to transfer to LA after im done with these classes.

Saban is relentless. Besides, why would Saban give a shite about the future of Alabama football when he will be gone within the next 3 years. Its all about winning at any cost as long as Saban can get a bigger contract at another school. He isn't worried about these kids. Saban is the only thing that matters to Saban.
