Kole WILL be in this class

I'm not saying he wont, but I wouldn't BET on it that's for sure. We're going to ultimately have to cut probably 3 more guys from this class to fit in who we want.

I like the idea of Gilbert and Taylor on the field at the same time. That is a red zone matchup nightmare for opposing defenses.

Not sure if Taylor will still come, but if he does, think Aaron Hernandez and Gronk.... (before Hernandez killed someone)

It was a VICIOUS Tandem for New England!!!!

You actually had to research this? You couldn't tell Arik was a freak after about 5secs of his tape?

After further evaluation of Arik Gilbert

The only criticism I have ever heard of Gilbert is he needs to show more of a commitment to being a better blocker. As far as the rest of his game he is literally one of the best TE prospects of all time.

They're going to be used completely different. Arik will be used more as a receiver hybrid and Kole will be more of a natural tight-end. They will be used plenty on the field together.

Yes there will be processing, but it won't be Kole - unless someone like DJU or Burch wanted in. That is the only way he would get processed. So highly unlikely.

You're basically just saying something that all reasonably intelligent people already knew.

I actually remember arguing with you over these 2 players when Kole was the only one committed.

Glad to see you’ve come to your senses

AND he’s being held on most of them. Plus, he seems to be running half speed sometimes while blowing by them.

The only problem I saw was his choice of shorts. Whoever told him that those were cool lied

When I first evaluated Arik Gilbert and Kole Taylor I really felt that Taylor would fit this LSU offense better. I see him as a Jimmy Graham/Jeremy Shockley type.

I haven’t seen much of Taylor, but what we’re you seeing that made you think Gilbert wouldn’t fit in this offense?

A fan watching highlights. Not film.

Nobody here watches what recruits do when the ball isn’t thrown/run in their direction. We watch highlights.

If only it were possible to recognize a quality post via more than an upvote. I agree with this wholeheartedly, and find it very cringeworthy when someone starts talking about how they are evaluating a players film.

Like they are watching the All22 of a players games and practices, but in reality they are watching highlights. Perhaps OP should look for the definition of highlight next.

Could be as high as five. 3-4 being said by the 247 guys and other insiders to be kind.

I'm with you Tiger eyes...

What little I saw of Kole Taylor (I didn't even realize he had committed at first) I thought the same thing... this cat is exactly what we need. He does everything well with great size. Perfect [hopefully] prototypical TE was my thought.

Said great and call it a day.

After seeing highlights of Gilbert that changed. Different level. If I had to choose now- Gilbert.

But where I'm at now is that having both complements each other. Together they are the perfect fit for this offense.
