re: 5 Star EDGE Jaiden Bryant Flips to Miami

I’m not sure why anyone is really surprised. A 5 star DE flipped to a school that just played in the national championship game, had two DE’s drafted in the first round, and likely offered the most money. Why wouldn’t he take that?

This means nothing until signing day. And then it still means nothing.

Give him the bigger bag and he'll put an LSU hat on during signing day
None of this shite matters
Stop following recruiting

This staff prioritizes giving big money for roster retention and proven commodities in the portal.
This seems like the way tbh.
Retention is always going to the biggest factor. Nothing earthshattering there.
The portal was great for us this year because Kiffin and Co completely gutted the roster and got players they think fit. We needed the current construction of the portal tremendously to reconfigure the roster.
That said,I disagree that its the way to go as a base model. It isn't sustainable long term. The current construction of the portal has a short shelf life. Every model of reform stresses the 1 transfer rule. Everyone is agreement on that. That alone will severely limit both the pure total of transfer players and the quality of them on a year to year basis. That will mean multi year contracts out of hs, extreme premiums on the studs that do come available and gross overpayment of kids that are unproven or not good enough to play where they left. What good is retention if half your roster moves every year? You have to have young, developing players out of hs to retain. Hs recruiting is and will always be the lifeblood of roster building for sustained success. Lane stressed this as a major reason for choosing LSU. I personally believe this entire off-season/recruiting cycle will be an anomaly in 5 years. Not the norm. No different than a corporate takeover that has chaos in the beginning then settles into its normalcy.

O making room for the Tx Tech edge

I can promise you Lane and LSU will do whatever it takes and however much money to land Royal. I guarantee you that

I wish every player on LSUs team would message him calling him a baby back bitch for posting that right before flipping to Miami. That’s bush league shite. I’m glad his attention whore arse left. LSU doesn’t need bitches like Bryant.

It’s not that. It’s the fact he literally posted about being all in on LSU right before he flipped to Miami. You don’t do shite like that and I hope some of the LSU players call him out on it.

Outspent by Miami? Not a good look for LSU.
That said, it’s a better use of money to buy older portal players than true freshman at least on the lines.
Skill positions are a different story. Plenty of elite WRs/RBs are 18. But if you are investing in the line it’s better to spend it on older guys

Yea.. You deservingly should get roasted. Because that is one dumbass post. Goodness gracious some of you people are either this clueless or you are intentionally posting stuff like this to try to piss people off.

Him saying geaux tigers 3 hrs before he flipped was nothing more than a glow shrimp with ole Jack's juice sprayed on it under a cajun thunder rattle cork casted out towards Miami to cause them to push for him harder to throw a bigger bag of money at him
. Hook, line and sinker.
Dude only cared about the most money. He also probably knew he wouldn't be a starter this season at LSU. Everything happens for a reason.

The words “shutting down my recruitment” means absolutely nothing.

The geaux tigers tweet a few hours before on3 posted the flip is the ultimate epitome of today’s recruiting

If you are still putting much stock into what recruits are saying/tweeting I’m not sure that I can help you there.

Nah, he knew he was flipping. He was just trolling. Appears to have worked.

Miami presented him with a better NIL opportunity, prompting him to return to Coach Sterling and Lane. They informed him that they would not increase their offer for an unproven high school athlete. After that conversation, he contacted Miami and informed them of his decision to switch his commitment to them. Explained in the simplest terms!
