How has he done so far this season? I have read mixed reports on TD about him, some negative.

Bryce Young vs St Frances
St. frances easily has the best defense in high school football (Toles, Clowney, and 5* bama commit Braswell are all on that team)

Talent doesn't necessarily mean best defense. They are stacked, but coaching, especially at the HS level, can really have HUGE disparities.

So you would rather LSU play a pocket passer or a running QB? I mean if you go through the entire history of the sport at LSU, sure you can find it both ways, but recently guys like Tua and Newton torched the LSU defense. Tell me you want a high profile dual threat at Bama.
