It kills me when I read these articles describing these kids as "frame limited"

In what the hell world is a 6'2" 330lb kid who squats 700+lbs and benches 375lbs frame limited??

If he was 6'9" 400lbs, they would just find something else to bitch about.

frick these press people, they have no idea the drive in anybody's heart. Jacobian is an absolute beast,if he comes in here willing to work as hard as he can,the kid will almost be guaranteed to be a very high pick in the NFL draft.

Leverage and strength are huge factors in being a great DT. Seems like he possesses both. I agree lots of articles completely ignore the trend of shorter dts making a huge impact the last 10-15 years, the list of top guys 6'3 or shorter is enormous

is that considered a lot these days? I know it is probably strict form in a meet, probably don't allow the help of the spotters to keep the bar moving or bouncing the bar off at the bottom, but doesn't seem that much really.

Those 2 lifts with a decent clean would have won the high school USA Weightlifting competition. So yeah, if those lifts are proper, then he's extremely strong and still has another year of high school.

CENLA rarely produces blue chip football recruits, but when one emerges, it is often a very good player.

For example, the career interception leader for LSU remains Chris Williams (Tioga).

Incredible punt returner, too. Played for the Bills, not sure why he’s a kind of forgotten Tiger.

Let’s see you lift it, tough guy. 370 pounds is an extraordinary amount of weight to push off your chest.

I mean he has a point. Guys are repping 225 pounds +20 times (sometimes +30) at the NFL combine.

I’m not saying 370 is nothing but it’s nothing special. Certainly not noteworthy. Especially for a guy at his size.

CENLA has been producing blue chip talent pretty frequently the last few years actually. Just happens that LSU hasn’t offered all of them.

A couple off the top of my head:
Bud Clark
Guillory
DJ Chark
Cody Ford
Jalen Richard
John Leglue

ETA:
Damar Dotson
Jason Hatcher
Michael ford

I was benching 405 weighing 198 at 20 years old. 370 is a lot of weight but nothing crazy for a guy that size.

Don’t get me wrong, this guy is still 1000x the football player I was.
