re: 3 Louisiana QBs who are on the radar

Peyton's is the one, I grew up with his dad. Peyton comes from a good household, we better get him before Texas, they just offered and Simon is already recruiting him.

Figures the state would start pumping out QBs just when we establish a national presence at the position and NIL takes hold. Gonna indeed be interesting how we navigate the '27 kids and who we choose to prioritize. Houston has all the national buzz. He's already being pushed as a top of the rankings guy. Early on our staff was higher on Haven. Will Sloan still be here?

I’ve seen the first and third kid in 7v7. The Benton kid was better. I know that is sacrilege for all of the Pop backers, but that kid lit it up.

I think Sloan and LSU will get the one QB they want in ‘27 class. Not sure at this point which it will be. But in NIL reality, you can only pay for one. That’s just the reality these days. The classes of 2 4-5* QBs in one class isn’t going to happen.

We'll probably sign 2 from the current 2027 class, I dont see us getting a 2026 QB at this stage, we just have no traction with anyone. We have some built in advantages with the 2027 class having so many talented kids in the state PLUS Nuss' younger brother. I believe we'll get 2, and theres always a chance 1 could reclassify to 2026.

We only have 1 offer out to a 2026 uncommitted QB right now and thats a California kid in Ryder Lyons who is a very heavy USC lean. This is why I think the focus has really turned into getting 2 in the 2027 class, and with the advantages we have there I think we sign 2 between the few big time in-state guys and then Nuss' younger brother too.
