I wouldn’t want to miss out on getting a player of Jordan Allen’s caliber.

He might not have earned an offer at LSU this summer, but his body of work speaks for itself.

We will get to see him against Shelton Sampson when LCA plays Catholic-BR this season.

My money is on Allen

I love his demeanor and he did take aj johnson out the game.

He likes to get his hands on receivers. Maybe lsu is slow playing him.

You can tell he wants to be at lsu.

I read the penn st 247 commit article and it says he has yet to visit Penn State, I found that interesting. Wonder if he will end up signing with Penn State.

When I get home, I’ll be writing an article. I’ll post the link.

I don’t get that impression at all after reading that article. But I hope Raymond knows what he’s doing because he seems like a good kid and a really good player.

Is there still doubt surrounding Raymond’s ability to evaluate? He’s as good as there is. Unfortunately for kids like Allen, it’s a numbers game.

Not only do people need to look at the DB board and see who LSU is in play for but also Daronte Jones is a DB guy and he’s involved.

Yes, there is. Anybody can evaluate Stingley and Ricks. Those are no brainers. But Corey’s had some big misses in the last few years. Flott, raydar, ward and of course the “lack of signees” that forces guys like Nichols State’s Evans into the program and into play.

Let’s complain about the best DB coach in the country. What else does the guy have to do? Everybody misses.

What he has to do is recruit quality depth at the one position he’s responsible for and since 2016 he’s failed to do that.

Do you realize outside of Stingley and Ricks he hasn’t recruited a quality CB since 2016? The closest thing was Kary Vincent in 2017.

Outside of Stingley and Ricks the two 5 star future first round picks? One was the top player in the nation and the other we got from Cali. Let’s not give him credit for those guys. Both were ready to play in the best conference in football as freshmen.

But our last four teams have had Stingley, Ricks, Greedy, Fulton, and Jackson at CB. None of which were selected below the second round. You have to give him credit for either recruiting them or developing them.

Flott was an animal as a freshman, and should bounce back this year. Vincent could have gotten drafted higher if he would have played this year. He also recruited Kelvin Joseph and it’s not his fault that he transferred because he was going to get suspended. There is no one one out there that has done a better job than Corey and he’s the reason we’re DBU.

He’s a big part of it, but he’s not it.

And you completely ignored the critique. If stingley opts out or ricks gets hurt it will be very, very ugly. The depth/talent isn’t there and his projects haven’t developed. That’s on him.

No he’s not the only reason. I’ll agree with that. But you lose two top guys on any team, they’re not gonna be very good. This year they will have at least 4 guys who won’t be slouches at CB. Plus Jay Ward stepped in last year and played well.

The kid isn’t a take over Welch or A. Thomas. You could make an argument for him over Rhym, but that’s about it. It comes down to numbers, plain and simple. Raymond knows more than everyone on this board about what LSU needs.
