He's ranked 24th in the state
That’s high enough to not even raise eyebrows if you’re the type that would do that

Have you seeen our DL class? especially on the edge. It isn't exactly filled with bad prospects...maybe look again. Taking this kid with potential as a 4th edge in the class is not a bad idea at all. I mean you can't seriously type this shite as we have the #4 ranked class as it sits. Alabama - 4 three stars Georgia - 4 three stars georgia signed 8 three stars last year. Maybe do some research.
It’s becoming pretty obvious that poster is a bama troll

ot going to shite on Kelly for this because he needs bodies, but 3-star recruits aren't going to cut it if you want to beat Alabama,

Damn this guy can run. I think he can bulk up to 260-270 and retain that explosiveness
Yep. I remember when Saban first got here he said “we need more big guys who can run.”
Coaches who can develop players will take all of those types they can get so with so many spots available I say welcome the young man if he wants to come here

The 6'5 285 Freshman OT at East Ascension dominated Carpenter from what I've been told.

Looks long and Rangy, moves well, bends good. Long arms. High motor

Watched him go up against Emory Jones and Jones got the best of him most plays, but it was a battle. He has quick twitch and closing speed for his size.

Why? There's no limit on how many players we can sign. You need developmental projects for depth too that will be here 3-4 years from now. Low risk high reward potentially.

Has St Amant ever had an SEC recruit?
Posted on 11/3/22 at 1:28 pm to Wing T
Wrong. I was at the game, they play opposite ends of the line. There's no freshman in the country dominating Dylan Carpenter.

Yea, that usually doesn't work out too well for those people

The term "developmental project" likely applies here. Haven't watched any tape but have to assume he's raw but has the upside where the staff is willing to take a chance on him.

so you admit you haven't watched him play, but your going to assume anyway? why?

Not sure why anyone would complain about this. There’s no 25 counter this year, we can load up with as many bodies as we want. Worst case, he doesn’t develop and we throw him in on special teams and blocking TE.

This exactly.
Don’t mind this at all. Need these guys to develop over a longer period of time. At the minimum they contribute on special teams.

Just happened to flip on Walker vs St. Amant last weekend. Had not heard of this kid, but he was noticeable from a physical stature standpoint at DE. I remember thinking...that's a good looking kid at DE.
On the downside, he got pushed around a bit on the few plays I watched of him.
Could be one of those core special teamer and depth guys perhaps.

I am good friends with the St. Amant head coaches son. His dad says that the staff has been to St. Amant twice this week, and has said to expect good news.
