Also interesting that he has almost no SEC offers, and the entire SEC has offered Johnson, yet now he’s being touted as the best RB in the state after the Bama commit.

Said that kid has talent. We will see how he develops.He played behind a very good back last few years.

Admittedly, I find it a little interesting that Bama would go to him this early in the recruiting process.

Billy on 247 has said many times he thinks Edwards is best in state, I think one of the other mods also agree with that. This was long before he ever committed to Bama.
Go watch his film, it's legit good, there's just not a ton of it.

Bama knows that Evans is goin to commit to UGA soon and are taking their guy now, it wouldn’t surprise me if we do the same with Johnson

I agree kid is talented. He was playing behind some talented kids. We shall see how he develops this year. If kid blows up don’t be surprised if he gets LSU offer. We have had great success in that area of the state.

Not sure if you find it that Bama is changing thier recruiting practices. They don’t get all the kids as they used to. Bad thing is teams like Clemson are also starting to dip into the talent pool in Louisiana. We do need O to build that wall around LA.

Johnson is visiting UGA in the next month. (Per him) - not sure if he has an offer, but he seems to think there’s a chance he makes it in the class with Evans and Milton

He did get a pretty good bump up.

I think with Zach Evans and Ashaad Johnson both having the same top 2 of UGA and LSU we will Forsure get one of them. I think Evans will go to UGA and Johnson will come here. Kyle Edwards is a great back but I prefer Ashaad because he’s a faster back that can do more of what emery can’t than Kyle Edwards can (pass catching).
Also there’s no way Edwards would want to spend 6-7 years of his football career behind emery

Kid has good film and is very underrated. I think Asaad Johnson is better.
Bama will play it up but truth is they are missing on some big targets and need a RB. Having one from a football powerhouse like destrehan can’t hurt

As many of y’all may know now, I have deep connections and with Hahnville, Destrehan, and a lot of the guys that come through those schools.
I haven’t kept up with Edwards’ recruitment but he’s a beast. Would never come here but damn it’d suck to see him at Alabama

No way man. Saban can’t evaluate talent. I’d go with star rankings and the paid experts who run those sites all day.

He runs straight up and has no wiggle, there are backs like this kid every year in Louisiana. No loss and wont be more than a mopup carry back for Bama.
