I think coach O can offer Edwards after his senior season if he blows up. Why are all these guys freaking out. Geese! Nobody saying kid won’t be SEC ready after senior year. I know he hasn’t been the cash cow do entire season yet. Let it play out
It’s just a dumbass conspiracy theory instead of simply saying “Kids good, Bamas taking a chance on him and we don’t have room”
But you have your theories on Sabans age and a new mentality of recruits that aren’t backed up by ANY evidence so you can just continue living in that world you made up bud.

I don’t think Saban needs to take extra kids to land Louisiana recruits.
Neither do I. You clearly don't have a grasp on my point, or your confusing what I'm saying with what some others here are saying.
Alabama wanted a running back. Hypothetically the choices were this kid from Destrehan and equally talented players from all over the place that did not offer the potential to build early relationships with other high level players.
When everything else is equal, it just makes sense for them to sign this kid.
And it's still possible that he's also really good. But you could say the same thing if it was a kid from Buford, South Panola, St Thomas Aquinas in FL, etc.

Why do they always put respect my decision? I doubt anyone really cares that much to send the kid hate mail or some crap for where he decided to go to school. If someone actually would do that then they really have no life and need help. That being said I’m sure this kid will either be a grey-shirt or walk-on for Bama.

I honestly think it's because they think it makes them sound smarter.
It's hilariously idiotic when they do that after playing up the attention for a long time (not that this kid did that).

You really need that spelled out? He is 70. He won’t be coaching for 20 more years. He could give a shite about setting up a pipeline at this point. He just wants the best players he can get across the country.
His evaluation of the player may be right or it may be wrong. Time will sort that out.

Not freaking out , I can care one way or the other if he comes here . Truthfully! One kid isn’t going to make the program or break it

Dude must be fighting with his wife or gf. Looking for a fight. I have no idea why I am getting blasted .

So you think it isn't worth it to get players he wants next year or the year after?
It's not like "pipelining" is to plan for the next 10 years.
There may be great players out of Destrahan next year and the year after that Edwards is friends with or he just wants to keep a solid relationship with the current coach.

No, it isn’t worth the time and effort unless you know of 5 5 stars there for next year.
Maybe to start his career at Alabama but not now. He has a draw nationwide.

How about a hybrid of both of your debates:
He knows he’s not getting Evans
He is not getting Milton
He’s already got a good stable of backs, but wants one more.
Since there are 3* backs all over the country that fit his parameters and would beckon for a tide scholarship, why not get one from Louisiana to keep his already high profile name in Destrehan.
So both of you are right. kE is an sec back.....not elite, but still sec. if he were from Tennessee/Missouri/South Carolina, he might a take. But he’s from Louisiana and he wouldn’t mind getting one from there.

I already told you that has nothing to do with it.

Nobody wanted Josh Jacobs besides them
Posted on 8/23/19 at 5:40 pm to TheWalrus
Yeah, he sees his body type in the mold of an eventual Jacobs or Derrick Henry. They have the OL that know how to hold and make that type of style more successful

Could be a case of a better eval (LSU didn't give this kid the time of day) or wanting to keep the Louisiana connection alive.
If so, why not A johnson?

We have had good success. But we also happened to miss out on the greatest recruit that ever came from that school... ED REED.

Bad thing is teams like Clemson are also starting to dip into the talent pool in Louisiana.
Travis Etienne and Bryton Constantine???
One we slow-played and got burned, the other we didn’t pursue at all.

I think it’s zach Evans and two OL or no rb and three Ol.
So you think we shuffle Guillory for another DT or just don’t sign him? Agreed I want to see 2-3 more OL also.

ESPN finally broke down and made Edwards a profile
