Why does it have to be doom and gloom? Its just my gut feeling. I'm not saying that it will wreck our class if we don't land these guys. LSU will be fine regardless.
Suggesting 4-5 top La prospects will not sign with LSU is a negative outlook, I don't mean to suggest you think the program will be screwed. I realize you are more level headed and know that LSU can get replacements from OOS, but it still seems to never fail that early in the recruiting process some fans think a lot of La prospects won't sign with LSU and its not new either. Maybe just residual from the past when we really didn't. I think we will get at least 11 of those 14 if we really go after them.

i think we lose hootie and sims...thats it

That would be just fine, especially if we get Paris and Brown from Texas.
Just curious, why does everyone seem so pessimistic about Jones?

Because he's been quoted as loving ohio state and alabama...we may still get him but as of now we trail imo. Obviously, a lot could change.

Yeah, how'd that end up working out?

So be it.
Voorhies makes up for Hootie if that's the case.

I agree, Prom. But what an idiot Hootie would be to pass up a potential secondary of him, Paris, Brown, and Voorhies...not to mention Robinson, White, and Brazil.

What do you mean? He's coming to LSU. Apparently he was all Bama before Henry took the job, and they really hit if off which may or may not be the reason he ended up at LSU. Just saying that you never can tell how things will work out when youre a year out of signing day.

For those of you who have the opinion that we will not lock down most of if, if not all of the top 10 next year, you have this year to look at. After 2012's recruiting class, there is no one out there that can say that LSU's coaching staff did not do a fantastic job of putting a fence around Louisiana this year, they did period end of story. They should be congratulated for a great job this year.
You can bet they understand and see the talent rich class of 2014 and you can bet they are planning on putting up another fence around Louisiana for 2014 and defending it with everything they have. Until they prove us wrong, after such a great job recruiting this year they deserve the benefit of the doubt and our support.

I think we have a legit shot with Quinn, Willis, Robinson and Fournette. I don't know enough about the others guys to say one way or another.

#7 Gerald Willis something's not right about this he's projected way higher than that.
I saw that his forty time is 5.16...Wonder if that has something to do with it??? Is that even an accurate time?

Willis was the 4A Defensive player of the year.
to hell with his forty time

40 time doesnt mean shite....his burst his awesome and a good shuttle time
Posted on 1/28/13 at 2:24 pm to redfieldk717
I think it means more for a Defensive end. If it was a Defensive tackle I wouldn't worry, but a defensive end should be able to cover the sweep and beat the runningback to the sideline. Good perimeter speed.
If he has a good shuttle time that might make up for the lack of speed...

if he has to run 40 yards on a play we are in trouble

What's up with Brumfield? It seems like at this point he's favoring everyone but LSU? Why is it the closer they are to the campus, the harder they are to recruit? Da fuq?

I agree with red. We trail big time for hootie. But we still have Diarse.
