I'm encouraged by this. I remember in an interview after the first day, that his arm was tired. He may not have worked out enough prior to the camp, but he will never have to play back to back GAMES.

Really? We somehow have been blessed with two VERY highly recruited QBs. Rettig was Expected to be THE top QB in the 2013 class before he was injured. He has made a full recovery, and will only get better between now and when he arrives on campus. Johnson was not given the credit he clearly deserved and is proving his worth already at the Elite 11 camp. I would say the odds you pulled out your butt should like more like this:

Chance one or both of them turns out to be great: 10 to 30%
Chance one or both will turn out to be at minimum good: 95%
Chance neither pans out to be considered good: less than 5%

You must be a Bama fan trolling. Both of these kids are considered incredible talents. It's looking like we will have two of the top ten QBs in the country. Either could and would be starters almost anywhere and they have chosen wisely with LSU. They both are extremely competitive and will make push to make each other better. Both could easily end up being a starter for two years before departing us to play on Sundays. Getvyer head out yer butt. Both of these kids are special. Gonna be even more special after getting Moffitized and Kragged.

Tuck tail and go back to Bama.

Three if you count Shep.

You call middle of the pack "proving his worth"? Look, I liked him because I saw top teams recruiting him. It still makes him a long shot to be "great" which is the word I used as well as the one used by the fellow I was responding to. You refuted me by quoting odds on "good". That wasn't the topic, dbag.

How could he just a "Candidate for a 4 star" when the kid is one of the top QB in nation?

Crazy talk.... you get that far up the ladder competing against hundreds of other top QB's, you should be a 4 star

Troll elsewhere. Shep was a highly tauted athlete. He never was a QB at LSU. Go do a little research on the 2012 Elite 11. He did a little more than run middle of the pack(with the best of the very best QBs in the country). Many believe Rettig will be 5star by the end of the season. You need to educate yourself a little more before starting a dumb troll thread. U must have an extra chromosome.

Bottom line. Johnson exceeded everyone's expectations at the Elite 11. Dilfer did not choose him for the Elite 11, but just about every other source put his performance between 5 and 8 at the elite 11. If you can't recoognize and admit that that is evidence of the kids potential to be great, you can chew on an actual dbag. Come correct if you wanna play with the big boys. BTW, good luck with McLeod(Big Red).

247 bumped him to 4 star at the end of Elite 11 camp. Rivals=Bama homers. You do the math

Rivals did come around later. Hard to keep that star off him for long.
