I was wondering about this. Dandy Don (Scott) said that he would be transferring to a school in the New Orleans area but didn’t name the school. StPaul’s would be just fine with me.

didn't go to Rummel but I know of several guys from the Northshore and Westbank that did make the commute for 5 years. All of them are successful in their careers.

Is one of them named Jamarr Chase?

Mandeville public schools offer a much better education than Rummel.

Lmao you had a post earlier in which you stated that St. Paul's is under .500 against current Catholic school teams

Last I checked so is half the current Catholic League... Look at Jesuit, BM, Aug, HC record in "The Vaunted Catholic League" the last 20 years

Also last I checked the two non-Catholic schools Karr and Curtis have whipped everyones arse the last 5 years so lets just all agree that Catholic League dudes have a superiority complex when it comes to anyone who isnt in "The League"

Never Said STP would win it year in and year out... I said they would compete, which they would! Anyone with "Half a brain" knows that

That’s a crazy take lmao

It isn't. The difference is the students attending a school like Rummel, are of a certain socioeconomic background. Will score well, but the education itself isn't superior.

Nothing has been decided yet. Scott is only assuming that the family will move together and Colton will transfer. The family didn't move with Doug to Philly for his last job.

As someone that grew up with public school friends from the same background, that’s simply not true. I don’t even think that highly of a Rummel education. But to call it a low rate public school education is just ignorant

Rummel is better than most Orleans Parish and non-magnet Jefferson schools, but certainly below Mandeville High. It’s not in the same stratosphere as Haynes, Ben Franklin and Pat Taylor.

Maybe but you’re not playing big time football at those places either

Even if one of the quarterbacks reclassified, LSU still won't get more than one.

These kids know each other and they've seen each other play and either have, or will, cross paths with each other in camps and in the 7v7 circuit.

If one reclassifies to the 2026 class,, none of the others will sign with the same school in 2027. Why go in and compete with a highly-recruited QB who already has a year in the system and a year with the receivers and QB coach?

They will all go to different schools. They all want to play, and none want to wait for three years to do so. LSU isn't getting more than one. They just have to hope they get the best one.

I think you're wrong on this one BillF. Any top-level program signs at least one good-great QB per year.

Why choose St. Paul’s when you could go chase rich white girls at Mandeville all day and be on a better team?

Nuss family has a connection to St. Paul’s which is why this is an initial fit for the family. But all hate to St. Paul athletic programs are completely justified imo.

Year in year out, the talent pool in the Mandeville - Covington area is probably the worst in the state

My theory is that no one on the Northshore leaves where they’re at (because every school is at least adequate) to be at a program they “shouldn’t” be at, so no one on the Northshore can stack talent, so you see the best Northshore teams and think they’re a step behind, whereas in reality for an ultra talented program like Karr or Shaw or Curtis, you’re not watching the programs they’re taking talent from (because for example Shaw cant just win with Shaw’s talent, they need West Jeff’s, and Ehret’s, and Higgins’ too)

Basically it’s known for its parity, which may hurt them on a statewide scale
