2023 WR Shelton Sampson Jr. Gets His First Crystal Ball...To LSU

One of the fastest risers in the 2023 class, Shelton Sampson burst onto the scene with a 4.35 40 at a camp in the Summer of 2020 at 6'4" 180 lbs.

Then had a sophomore season showing a complete receiver with these highlights:

He further etched his name in the 2023 class after making this catch in March:

He's now a top 10 receiver for the class and is just getting started. And today, he received his first crystal ball to LSU from Billy Embody

He’s an absolute freak. I don’t say this lightly, but this kid has Julio Jones kind of potential. Watch him continue to rise over the next two years. He should be top 10 overall in the class regardless of position.

His size and speed are tremendous, but his athleticism is what stuck out to me. He didn’t just run by DBs or use his size over the top on them in match ups. His pure athleticism is his best attribute. If he were a couple of inches shorter and a tick or 2 slower, he could still be a great receiver. He’s got all the tools. This is from watching him in 6 games and a few videos of games I didn’t attend.
