Damn I hate to hear that. My thoughts to him and hopefully he can recover from this.

Auburn has had some luck with cancer, huh? Damn.

Well the NFL Draft has been completed. How did your guys fare?

I had 7 guys drafted:

Vernon Hargaeves III CB, R1 P11
Kenny Clark DT, R1 P27
Tyler Boyd WR, R2 P55
Joshua Perry LB, R4 P102
Evan Boehm OC/OG, R4 P128
Jake Rudock QB, R6 P191
Steven Daniels LB, R7 P232

I also had a couple sign UDFA contracts:
Quinshad Davis WR, Lions (Disappointed he wasn't drafted) UNC All-time leader in receiving TDs, receptions and 2nd in receiving yards!
De'Vante Harris CB, SAINTS!

As I stated before, this is the reason I like doing the RMD. I noticed and recognized so many of the draftees. However, I still had no idea who the hell David Onyemata was!

keanu neal is the only one for me. 2013 was my first year so they are all juniors now.

I have at least 12 players that have transferred from their original schools because they suck or are dip shits

Checking in on everyone. Looks like my 2016 class has had its first attrition. George Hill will no longer be playing football. link Hate it for him. Apparently a previous cardiac condition that is considered unsafe for continued football activities. By all accounts, he was set to contribute for Pitt this year even as a freshman.

I did like seeing this though:
quote:

Both Hill and Moody will be retained on scholarship until they finish so they can at least take advantage of a free education.

Every once in a while, they seem to get it right.

Additionally, looks like Tariqious Tisdale was a non-qualifier at Ole Miss and will have to go the JUCO route.

In positive news, I've heard/read/seen pretty good things about almost my entire offensive roster from early camp reports (save most of the OL because, well freshman OL don't usually make a ton of headlines - though Kindley did drop something like 45+ pounds to get down into the 330s... that's puttin' in work!)

DL recruits also seem to be getting some early praise (particularly Carter).

Thank God the awf-season is pretty much over!

I thought my RMD radar went off.

For the new guys, this is when it becomes fun. Now, you get to follow your recruits, as well as the ones that were "stolen" from you, and see how their careers turn out.

And of course, we always have our casualties from each class, with some never making it to school, others being forced to medically retire, and sadly, some who may abruptly lose their lives. I had one our first season, 2010, redshirt his first season. He lost his father shortly after that, and then sadly took his own life.

Then you have great stories like when I had one player get began to get real tired his soph year. Finally he decides to get his heart checked and finds he's had a hole in his heart, SINCE BIRTH! He gets that repaired, and goes on to have a really good college career. He also got a tryout with the 49ers this past off season.

This time is the best though because we all know our players are going to kick arse in the next few years. Of course, as time goes on, we soon realize who will be the good ones, who will be the busts, and who will be the complete dumbasses who throw everything away by making dumbass mistakes over and over again. I actually just had Charles Wiley, from the 2016 class, get arrested for domestic violence. However, his girlfriend was also arrested in the incident, so it sounds like they may have got into a fight. She must have been throwing some blows as well for her to get nipped. Either way, doesn't look too good for all parties involved.

On a sad note, TheHiddenFlask, RMD alum for the first two drafts, passed away earlier this week. I believe the OT said he was 29 years old. Life is precious boys. Tell the people close to you that you love them, because you may never get the chance again.

RIP Flask

On a lighter note, Bryan Edwards, Frosh WR for USCe and jembeurt alum, got the start on Thursday and had 8 grabs for 101 yards.

Short answer, nothing. Long answer, just gives us a reason to follow guys who may have not come to our teams or even the SEC.
